Already have a post about this in Tech support, but thought I’d post here as a caution.
I completed the quest last week and decided to save the charge, hoping for mythic+ helm or gloves.
Completed the quest this week, and when I open the window I am only showing 1charge. I don’t have an alt on the Dragon Isles yet to check if they have both charges.
Hoping it’s a display bug, but if not this is a pretty serious bug. If you didn’t spend your charge last week, you might want to check if you still have it.

Pretty sure it is, since mine was showing 1 charge first week before I’d even finished the quest. I haven’t seen that thing change once.
Really hoping that is the case. Thanks for the reply.

Having the same issue here myself. Did the quest both weeks. I burned a charge on my mage to get 4-piece, but it currently only shows 1 charge on my hunter and warrior, neither of whom have spent any charges.

I think I might have an anecdote to provide here.
I thought I had two charges on this monk after doing the quest and… apparently I didn’t.
Since I knew I was going to convert my Heroic gloves I just did it anyways and checked to see if I had a charge left. And I had one charge still left! So I wonder if it’s a display error? I’d burn a charge and try to see if what happened to me is widespread, especially if there’s a piece you know you’re going to keep for a while.
I used both charges on my DK before, no problem.
Same , missing charge in my Druid .

Hmmm, yeah I saved a charge from last week so my alt could convert two pieces this week and I went and it said I just had one charge. Hopefully it’s a display error considering you can keep up to 6 charges per character.
I know this is already 28days later, but I just wanted to bump this up and chime in saying this is happening to me as well.
I had 1 charge from doing the intro quest. Never spent it since I didn’t have anything to spend it on. A couple weeks later I do the weekly world group quest thing and get another, but I notice the charge counter stayed at 1. Then just now I completed the quest again and still showing only 1 charge. I should have 3 saved up.
On one hand I’m tempted to use one to see if it’s just a display error. On the other hand I’m afraid if I do and the charge says 0 and I’m not able to use the others, I’ll be SOL until Blizzard fixes this.

Took the gamble. It’s a display error. I was able to use two charges and still had one left. Whew!
Blizzard, your players are so confused by this. The NUMBER on the Catalyst is how much your upgrade will COST - not how many charges you have. So intuitive right? To actually see what you have, you need to run this script someone made:
/run local n=(C_CurrencyInfo.GetCurrencyInfo(2167).quantity or 0)print(string.format(“You have %d Catalyst Charge%s Available”,n,(n==1)and"“or"s”))
Only then will you be able to peer behind the curtain and see the actual information you wanted. And the real kicker is we had the same system in SL and it didn’t need a script.
For the last two weeks I have not received this quest on my Druid. However, strangely when I met the req’s for the quest it said I have completed it. If you go to the Catalyst Quest giver I notice there is a ‘unfinished’ quest mark over his head.
When you click on the ‘recrafter’ station it gives me the green ‘+’ and if you click on this it will tell you what gear you have that can be ‘recrafted’ if you have any, and it also gives you the number of ‘tokens’ you have. It says there is a limit of 6 charges … I am assuming you can save up to 6 ‘tokens’. Hope this helps others…
This. It’s so vague, took me a few days to catch on initially.

Well, when you are at the Recraft station it shows for me a ‘1’ token available, and if you mouse over it says you have a limit of 6 charges per character.
No, it’s saying the action will “cost” one charge. Mousing over shows your total charge.
