Sign me up! Like Lorash Sunbeam, I’m happy to return… personal reasons need not be said? Right?!
Those who get picked to join the House of Eyes become spider people. Except for Draka and Vashj. For some reason, they get to remain themselves. Mograine also gets to remain a normal-looking human among the House of the Chosen (who to be fair look mainly like beefy humans with hooded features).
So can Forsaken but you need to buy the deluxe Dedicated Embalmers package. Seriously that mfer was at the bottom of the sea for over a decade and those Dedicated Embalmers got him runway ready in a week or so.
There is a budget option for that but before we broach that topic; do you’ve any cousins you hate?
I’d never done the Tirisfal to WPL in the ordered line before.
When you do Tirisfal, then go to Andorhal, then back to the Bulwark and walk through into a restored, normal looking forest your reaction really is one of disgust.
Dear God. No. This is all wrong. What have you monsters done to the beautiful haunted woods?
The animals. Oh… oh God.
Tries and fails to hold down vomit.
None of them have exposed sharpened spines or glowing red eyes!
I still remain amused that the Forsaken operating under a council fits tremendously well in the aftermath of Sylvanas’ inexplicable descent into supervillainy, but likely won’t happen. Meanwhile the Horde decides Warchief is unnecessary in a time of peace. Time of peace = N’Zoth unleashed and Nyalotha supplanting zones through tears in reality.
“Hey fellas, we are so awful at storytelling that our only option is to undermine the Horde’s identity, because logic and consistency only matters when it is used as a sledgehammer to ruin setting staples.”
I still think the Forsaken Heritage quest should be helping to get the Desolate Council elected by running around Lordaeron helping each councilor sure up troubles with their constituents.
Make it similar to the Vulpera unlocked only locked to Tirisfal, Hillsbrad and the WPL. This could also be used to world build.
I figure you help the Deathguard with a Siege on Alterac City to make room for a base to overlook the now contested Gilneas. Help purify the restless spirits of the Scarlet Crusade still lingering amongst the newly dubbed Shadow Monastery. And help RAS in taking over Caer Daw to turn Scholomance into their Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
Would love seeing the actual world interacted with in such ways, but it seems like we’re going to be stuck with time capsules that exist apart from wherever new expansions go.
I don’t get why so many people on this board have embraced that version of Forsaken society so enthusiastically, acting as if it’s always been that way from the beginning.
They are Alliance players.
Ok, maybe…
No. They find her brother interesting. They find Lordaeron interesting. At best, Calia Menethil is most interesting when objectified. She is the victim of Sylvanas, the sister of Arthas, maybe the mother of A possible secret heir— all of which are the more interesting characters.
That’s just an insane conspiracy theory from the Scarlets.
And ngl making them the InfoWars of WoW is kinda an amazing idea. And if they make a comeback their leader should 200% a crazed, fire and brimstone televangelist type ranting about fevered conspiracy theories.
The World Wound was an inside job.
Also I’ll have a Plaguelands topic later but one thing I wanna note is Sylvanas actually sends you to go help out the Argents and Cenarion Circle.
She’s in disguise but in retrospect it really should’ve been obvious the random undead lady who could call in valkyr might be the Banshee Queen.
But that just further adds on to the weirdness of it. So she was 100% of these organizations and actively directed Forsaken too them.
Not really. I play Horde too, and I had a Forsaken priest that I RP’d as a Lordaeronian first and foremost. I feel like people who value Lordaeron history and culture would gravitate restoring the Menethil name. It’s not JUST that we liked Arthas as much as her dad, Terenas Menthil, was an interesting guy. I do think the secret heir should be a fun storyline they can build on, but that shouldn’t detract from Calia’s claim to the throne.
Calia tried to get the Forsaken to abandon the Horde.
Good. The more it pisses it you off, the better it is.
Probably the most intelligent decision anyone can make. The Horde has done nothing but cause itself problems and once in a while kind of assist Alliance or its hero characters actually saving the world for the 11th time that week.
My own conspiracy theory is the Horde has been intentionally nosedived to make players want to swap factions. But Alliance isn’t interesting, so players are just quitting instead.
A bad theory my dear fellow scientist. You are an orc so I can excuse your bad science.
Your theory depends on the fact that Blizzard successfully accomplishes what they intend. All available evidence show us the contrary.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Intent: faction swap
Reality: Massive subscription loss
Saurfang cinematics were pure horde advertising.
No Alliance in sight besides a feary eyed Andiun. Was that also intended to push people to switch alliance?
Yeah, watching Saurfang mope and wax depressing about how terrible The Horde is and ramble off some incomprehensibly derpy take on honor while trying to commit suicide by death charge really stoked that faction pride.
But I see you are really keen on that diarrhea bowl, so you can have my share as well.
