For whatever reason, Blizzard mistook how Shadow Crash has always functioned as a “bug” and now it is substantially harder for spriest to apply dots.
The spec already lost unfurling, the purpose of 2 charges of Shadow Crash was to make up for this. Fix Shadow Crash.

Yuuup … spent a fair amount of time experimenting with the reticle “cast @ a location” version of Crash earlier today, too. Makes no difference, acts exactly the same as @ a target.
Fkin whack, yet all kinds of other specs AoE spells can do dam, root, debuff etc if they’re placed @ the right spots, LoS or not. Its a BS change.
At least now I know I wasn’t losing my marbles imagining weird new crap happening when I asked about it yesterday, not that that makes this change any more logical. Shi even in like delves now u can throw up a crash and it might not actually DoT anything if there’s the minorest of minor terrain changes, like you said.

Felt especially terrible on Crucible of Carnage where its wonky AF to even know exactly where terrain LoS is gonna break from platform to ground depending on where people are positioned. Damn near gotta just not move or do anything else until your Crash hits to make sure dots actually get applied.
Iunno why they classified this as a hotfix, its for real a hotbreak. DoTs gonna get dispelled a boatload during a game anyway, now we gotta deal with this change just not even letting em get applied all too often.
Just the graves and tomb on lordaron can be cheezed against this pretty easy now, and ill bet even standing in pure LoS but just in the water on that map make it terrain enough they wont apply.

spriest is literally the only caster that cant reliably apply dots.
you simply can’t have an ability with a TWO SECOND TRAVEL TIME adhere to los. spriest genuinely feels like absolute trash which is crazy because for the first time in ages, the rotation felt good in pvp
and now blizz ruined it for fun. what a joke.

Welcome to the Shadow Priest rendition of what happened to Arcane Mage in the final month of beta for TWW when they decided Nether Precision benefiting from double dipping off of spell queuing was a bug while apparently every other spec in the game is allowed to continue benefiting from the same mechanic on literally everything you can spellqueue including trinket effects.
This is Shadow’s version of this, the devs will very likely not budge on this even though it makes Shadow play worse; it’s exactly the same thing that we went through.
We’re in week 2 and this is already the worst PvP patch of all time.

i already unsubbed. i’ve dealt with a lot of crap, but this is enough. i can’t stand playing a spec blizzard purposefully punishes for no reason.
either they fix shadow crash or i’m gone after tww. don’t care about this trash anymore, this company isnt worth the money. absolute scam.
