Revert Timewalking Scaling Pls

The new timewalking scaling seems backwards. Before, to me at least, it felt relatively even regardless of what level you were at. But now, it feels punishing if you’re not appropriately geared to your level.

Maybe it feels more punishing this week because half of the loot drops in TBC TW dungeons are useless gems.

I don’t notice anything different aside from a couple of bugged abilities from mobs. Otherwise, it’s still the same roflstomp.

Might’ve just been me then. Didn’t really seem to have a huge issue last week with the Classic Dungeons and the abundance of bosses/loot. I went from 66-80 on my BDK and was still using pre-DF gear

If not a full reversion, let me at least use my legendaries.

Yes please.

I’d made a new tank for the sake of giving Protection a go. I’ve had 4 moments where for no reason at all I’ve just fallen over. I have definitely done the same pulls before.

Yup, this was a bad change. I have several severely undergeared characters at level 70 because I just did the pre-patch event for the past two expacs for them. Now they’re just sitting with ilvl 252 or 226 gear, not really able to do much because mobs scale up instead of our level scaling down.

I understand some of this was to prevent scaling issues with TWW launch where characters were blasting dungeons before level 80, but it feels really bad for those of us who have left some of less-played characters in a bad state.

i leveled up my prot warrior from 70-80 in TW last night in about 2 hours or so.

At level 70 in ~515 gear, I was blowing up the dungeons. Somewhere around 75/76, in more or less the same gear, I got much more mortal and had to slow down my pulls.

I have a hunch that I started to take more damage after I took any of my hero talents, but that is just a hunch.

scaling is weird…

Yeah that’s why I think scaling should be scaling us down to the level of the content, not scaling the content up to us. It feels really bad on severely undergeared characters, and this point about having to change behavior when that hasn’t been the case until recently just drives home my point about the requirement of scaling up.
