Revert the "ban" on boosting communities

Like I said, people doing scumbag stuff always have excuses for why what they are doing is fine. Has nothing to do with what the made up rules say has to do with right and wrong. Good job ignoring 90% of my post and responding to tiny cut outs btw… Typical. Ignore the actual nuance and point of the conversation… Oh well, it is to be expected in a post asking for it to be made easier to cheat I guess.

Mmm, cheating has everything to do with what the rules say. I think you’re trying to instill your own definition of “cheating,” which doesn’t really align with what cheating is in reality.

“I don’t like something that someone does even if they’re following the rules” does not equate to cheating.

I agree wholeheartedly. But this is a pipe dream and we all know it. They cannot keep up with the botters/cheaters/spammers/boosters without dumping way more money into it than they are willing to do.

I’ve love to see them completely go away. But that’s never going to happen. All the boosting community ban has done is make it so the cheaters are the only game in town.

Because many of us prefer the game to not have boosting? I wish the token went away too tbh.

Again, most of us agree with this. But Blizzard has shown that they do not care enough about it to put the resources towards actually eradicating it. In fact, they’ve made it easier for those selling RMT carries by removing the boosting communities.

Blizzard understands what their player base has devolved into, nothing more.

I’ve never bought any kind of “boost” outside of the free level ups that come bundled with an expansion (at least don’t think I have), so take my comment with a pinch of salt.

imho it should be standard practice for a guild or community that does boosting to name themselves in their advertisement, preferably with an in-game link to their guild to see chievos, etc.

This would allow for both reputation building and trust that you aren’t buying a run from some shady source.

Heck, if blizz is fine with people boosting, add a check box on guilds that allows people to rate or write a review of the process. This would of course be gameable by industrious people running non-guild alts and such, but it’s far more trustworthy than the spam we get in game.

Please do not ever revert the ban.

And in fact please remove the services channel too.
