Currently, there is no way to revert your BWL Tier gear back into token form to give you the ability to reset/exchange for a different piece of gear (this would also allow you to revert Core-Forged back to Draconic via a fresh token). However, you can vendor MC tier gear which will revert the equipment back into token form. Why can’t this same design be applied to BWL tier pieces?

Zirene posted that he advocated for this and other devs said they want you to have to get a new tier token if you want to swap back.
Going to be a bunch of pissed off people if blizzard ever does any kind of class balancing that changes which set is BIS.

I don’t understand this logic whatsoever. I can’t think of a single argument as to how this would negatively affect the game. You could even swap a 6-piece Draconic for 6-piece Core-Forged for PVP vs PVE or something like that. And the “grind” would be having to re-enchant/modify the items. Such awful game design.
I’m not saying I disagree with you, but I’d assume their thinking is…
If you could swap your gear at anytime there is no meaningful choice when selecting your gear. Which is why they stopped allowing you to buy a separate quest reward from raid quests. (BFD trinkets).
It’s a dumb reason but I feel like some of the devs follow this thought process.

Except you would lose enchants. Head and legs is kinda a big deal. Some of the wrist and glove enchants are kinda a pain and expensive. Boots can be as well. Chest +4 isn’t cheap. Shoulder enchant is a hassle.
In the same boat as you. I’m a priest and I raid with 3 warlocks, 2 Mages, and 1 other priest. So the odds of me getting more than 1 T2 token per lockout is extremely low, even if I SR 2 of them, which i do every week.
Can’t believe you can’t turn coreforged into draconic. Terrible design decision.
lol 7? Must be rough… And where are you finding mages? My group for tonight has 11 rogue/warrior/druids and our other group has 13. We will probably get 90-100% priest/mage/lock tokens again. Mages have the 3rd highest population apparently yet you can’t recruit one…
sure. but since choices should have consequences, add a gold sink. 250-500g to swap back and forth
Honestly that would still suck but yeah that’s better than expecting my guild to give me another piece of tier because there’s 2 completely different styles to play retribution

The thing that bothers me the most about this is that MC gear can easily be reverted to a token by selling to a vendor. Which enables you to swap to the other T1 set for your class. I really don’t understand why the same mechanic can’t be applied to BWL gear. Makes no sense at all. I even tried to go through the item recovery process and all the GM’s just say “We’d like to help you, but we can’t.”
Also made a post on this myself, called " Give the ability to exchange Core Forged for Draconic Set Bonuses ". The fact that you can’t makes absolutely no sense because the purpose of getting a second set of tier is for your off-spec. Not having the ability to go back and forth is just bad game design and causes unnecessary friction.
The consequence of this is having to re-enchant the piece of gear, some of those enchants are not cheap.
