Everyone is pissed, even the other classes in the guild loved to see ignite rolling. The fun is gone, no one cared about mages splitting the ignite damage. Please reverse the ignite changes.
Everyone is not pissed. I’m just fine, thanks. And mages don’t need more power.
#no changes
#okay maybe some changes
#Classic 2.0 plus
I was never a #nochanges person. I was always more in favor of a remaster instead of a re-release. Vanilla is a stepping stone to the times in the game I liked best, TBC and Wrath.
As were most people with a brain.
Majority of people coming back to classic wanted a perfected version of the game. The no changers are honestly the worst thing to happen to classic, and the primary reason it has a huge turn over rate of players. It could have retained way more subscribers had they actually did more changes.
Rolling ignites were an exploit of an unintended game mechanic on private servers. They didn’t exist in vanilla and have no business in classic, especially without buffed content.
Lol. Did they have patch notes for this?
Patch notes for what? It was like this in vanilla from day 1. Private servers got it wrong and it was abused, the content was also twice as hard though.
Classic had rolling ignites, what are you talking about? It’s why in classic all mages went fire in AQ.
why should one mage reap all the benefits when its all the mages combined the make the ignite what it is?
What is a rolling ignite?
Under the Fire tree you’ll see a talent called Ignite which applies a DoT to the target after it receives a critical from a fire spell. The DoT is 40% of the spells damage over 4 seconds, but here’s the important thing…
If you crit again within those 4 seconds while Ignite is active it’ll reset the duration AND stack the new spell onto the DoT. What’s even sicker is that all Mages can contribute to a single Ignite effect - that’s why you see videos of Ignite dealing thousands of damage per tick.
First mage to start this rolling ignite gets all the aggro from the boss. And will eventually be a target, but damage can be so huge that it’s worth it.
Wow…seems legit…lolz
And that’s where you’re wrong bucko.
Look, you can even see the 5-stack debuff and the damage in the combat log!
Vanilla had no 4 second ignite what are you even whining about.
If you want Blizzard to start suddenly making balance changes to a 15 year old game they would start nerfing mages like they did in early TBC if anything.
rolling ignites existed all the way up to cataclysm.
the fact that they changed it just means they invalidated 6 years of game development
and if they want people to think they have any intentions of providing a “true” TBC and WotLK experience in the future, they will undoubtedly need to revert the change they made in classic
Blizzard’s knee-jerk reaction has once again put them into a contradiction with their game philosophy and ethics.
It really is just you flipping out about this, making repeated threads on the matter.
This.
Not this.

try again
Wait ignite doesn’t stack anymore?
So each mage gets their own ignite???
Because logs don’t matter.
Improved shadowbolt is shared too.
