Protip, they sell bfa slow fall pots at the Bazar in Oribos for 1g.
The map itself (‘M’) seems fine once you know what is an elevator.

It’s impossible to know how to get anywhere in this zone by looking at the map. The roads are a confusing web-work of going nowhere fast and there’s no way to tell if the road is suddenly going to be blocked by some gigantic wall or mountain. <quote
knew he through me one way, was surprised when that’s the only direction he tossed me.
yeah, those maps don’t show up, down very well - the walls I sorta figured out - basically you have to go waay out of your way to get to where if a gate would open you could be at.
Tip #1 check every single door and gate for it opening
Tip#2 90% of paths are sudden drops - (fear of height’s here, can’t believe my stomach still does a lurch)
Tip #3 90% of paths lead nowhere. lol exaggeration
Tip4#4 They didn’t cut DH a break in a place they should have.
Tip #5 You’ll spend 50% of your time traveling or searching, sometimes even if you’ve done it before.
Tip#6 there are cellars in places you’ve checked before, or hidden pathways that go up, or are barely an animal trail in the woods.
Everything in all zones works in a horseshoe or circle - but Revendreth is particularly nasty - I guess to make up for having the more enjoyable quests.
I do live in a major metro area. I can get to most place in the big city without a map.
The purpose of a map is to help people who don’t have the lay of the land get around.
Just wait for flying.
It will help if you turn your monitor on. Thats what usually does it for me.
It seems like people are misunderstanding my complaint.
I’m not complaining about the zone layout.
I’m complaining about the Map. The window that pops up when you hit the “M” key. That illustration that approximates the layout of the zone, and which, at least in the past, showed you where you were in relation to the roads in the zone. The roads being the primary conduit by which players travel.
The layout of the zone could remain exactly the same but if there was a map that provided a better clue as to where the roads were and where they go throughout the zone, it would be a hell of a lot easier to travel around.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the Revendreth map lol I don’t think there is anything else that comes to it. I wouldn’t say it’s useless but does take more staring.
Sometimes less is more.
True - it’s amazing how many food delivery people don’t know North South East West - I’m in Arizona - look at the gd sun!! (and one of the easiest grid of roads - the either go east-west, or south-north. sheesh
The biggest reason I learned to read maps originally was for hiking. At least in BFA you could tell rise and fall of land. Second reason was for a construction business on golf courses and having to read slope.
Walked around Manhattan on my one visit and never got lost.
Have lived in forest the the first 15 years of my life, never got lost.
Live in the desert - which one can get extremely lost - never.
The map for Revendreth and the usual or unusual signs of direction are not there. It’s totally inadequate - and they know it.
These zones are like the size of a refrigerator , if you dont know that the ketchup is up on that shelf over to the left by now…
nope I don’t - and not ashamed of it
I still get lost in Orib. Circular maps play heck with may ability to navigate.
Wow, that’s a nice map - doesn’t look that way on my computer!
No shame in your game. I was just messin round.
The problem with oribos is that its a circle with relatively few landmarks to orient yourself. That’s why I look for the flightpath on the minimap. It orients my current direction so that I can now know what direction to travel.
I know! Right! Even with the sign/icon thingies above the doors. All I know is for sure turn left out of inn to transmog, right to bank, and straight across -baring the maw, is portals to stormwind or ogrimmar
it’s okay - so weird, I’ve been enjoying and having fun on forums, then one horrible stressful encounter with a doctors office yesterday afternoon and suddenly my temper is seeing every remark through a red haze.
didn’t realize it - so thanks – but that’s why I posted my silly, mushy post yesterday - I figure we all get that way
Monitor maybe? I don’t have any special addons or anything
