Returning with Friends and Level Sync

I just returned to the game after being away right after Dragonflight came out. I did the inital quests to get the dragonflight and got to level 70. My brother and his friend wanted to play so I hopped back on with them. I really only like playing Paladin so I created one fresh with them. Did the intro island then started on Dragonflight content with them. I have heard of the level sync thing but never tried it.

My question is, could I use my main level 70 pally to quest with them with level sync? What would be a negative of doing that esp if I have done most of the DF quests? If I join their group and level sync to them, does it auto give me the quests they are on? Would it be better for me to play on the pally I just created and just work up to 60ish then jump back on the main one?

Thanks for the assistance!

Just do it, and see how it feels.

Level Sync works, except in a few spots related to phasing.

Your level 70 will probably have better gear for his level than they have for theirs, so he will likely be a bit more powerful.

If you have another pally at their level, that would be a slightly more normal experience, but either should work.

If you do level sync your 70, you will be getting XP from quests and kills suitable for a level 70. This may level you to 80 while syncing. The maybe downside of this is that from 70 to 80, you HAVE to do a rigid quest storyline in TWW, so if you arrive in Khaz Algar already at 80,you will still have to do that quest chain. Ofc, since your friends will be doing that too,it may not be much of a drawback.
