Returning to WoW. My Professions are unlearned?

I’ve returned to WoW after 2 years absence. Both of my professions are unlearned. What happened to my professions? They were skilled up to the 400’s

Proffesions are seperated by expansion now.

What does this mean? When I left I could make an Embersilk bag. Now I can’t make a bolt of Runecloth? I have to relearn from scratch?`

open prof page and filter by expansion all your recipes are still there

All my recipes say “unlearned”

clicky on tailoring, then the filter to drop down to previous exansions.

You don’t need to be able to make runecloth to be able to make embersilk anymore my friend.

I have it set on classic. I have 137 runecloth. Under materials with the classic fiilter, Bolt of Rune Cloth it has Recipe unlearned. Now under the filter Northrend, I have 140 frostweave cloths. I can make a bolt of frostweave. I can’t make a bolt of runecloth but I can make a bolt of Frostweave? I can make a bolt of Embersilk. I can make an embersilk bag. But I can’t make a bolt of runecloth.

My problem is similar, but worse… Like I’m trying to enchant fiery weapon on a low level weapon, but every single spell I have is unlearned and I can’t seem to learn them Even when I went to the enchanted trainer, I can’t seem to get my spells back… Someone help me.

They completely changed how you train professions. Someone thought it was wise if you could train DragonFlight professions without ever having trained Azeroth professions. So you have to train Cataclysm professions if you want those, Legion professions if you want those, etc. IMO its a mess but professions don’t really matter anymore. They’re more like a scavenger hunt after you max level.
