Just stopping in to say Hi, returning player, been gone since about 2019 or so. Was wondering where the current place to pick up some RP is now a days and such. Hoping to get back into the swing of things and meet up with some old friends and possibly make some new ones.

Howdy and welcome back! Wyrmrest Accord—especially Alliance-side—has had a bit of a shakeup since you’ve been gone. I’m not sure if you’d remember this, but around the middle of BfA there was a bit of an Alliance exodus from WrA-A to MG-A. At the start of Shadowlands, there was another.
At the moment, if you are looking for steady walkup like there used to be, I’d recommend either transferring to Moonguard Alliance or Wyrmrest-Accord Horde.
However, if you would rather stick to WrA-A, I believe most Alliance Roleplay will be guild-oriented with very few folks wandering the city. At least, this is based on when I last checked (which was a few months ago).

Most definitely Duskwood! I don’t RP as much as I’d like to with Hal here (finally found a character story groove in Midnight with my Night Elf druid) but Duskwood is quite hospitable and active. I remember Thomas and the gang out there leading a caravan to Booty Bay for fireworks once.

There is walk-up, but with most folks in Silvermoon and Snek Isle right now, the capitals of Orgrimmar and Stormwind are at a low point right now for spontaneous RP.
Most Guilds are involved in the following Discords for organising RP events and communities, mostly because we’ve had a few really rotten apples trying to spoil things for the rest of us and its simply safer for the people organising and going to the events to handle it themselves than wait on automated responses.

I’ve found a couple of serious, long-term groups that operate out of Boralus, the Redridge township, the Undercity (phasing and quest-phasing can make them a little hard to find on specific characters if you haven’t done the unlock quests to remove the Blight from Undercity), Belameth and Thunder Totem, to name a few, but as a rule, with the Internet being what it is and Trolls being mostly untouched without a lot of reports and screenshots, most RP events and communities are organising their efforts off the forums for their own safety and enjoyment.

With the cross-realm guilds and Warband banks to facilitate clothing and equipment changes, the whole of Azeroth is available to you.
Feathermoon and Scarlet Crusade have strong communities, with a long history of social events. If you feel like coming down out of Northrend to the jungles of Kalimdor, or want to prove your worth against (or with) the unholy Scourge, feel free to pop into the Stronghold or Tyr’s Hand to broaden your horizons.

Welcome back! There’s a resurgence of old players, so you may run into friends from the past, or make new ones for the future (Chromie can help with that, she’s good buddies with WrA folks). Hope you can rekindle the old spirit, and find what you’re looking for in the newest version of Azeroth.

Oh, is Duskwood now a “permanent” fixture of WrA-A? This is a new development to me. Interesting!
