Just seen that wow classic fresh was a thing and wondering if I already missed the hype train on it? Haven’t played wow in quite awhile since legion actually. Wondering if I am to far behind to start playing on the new anniversary realms? I am wanting to try to dps or tank as a feral druid and I will mainly have to pug as my work schedule is wonky so figure tanking is the best bet for that.
is there any large newbie social guilds available currently? Sorry for the questions just anxious to start and not wanting to waste my time.

They’ve been out for a month and its still in its first phase. I don’t know if that qualifies as “missing the hype train” on it. Its currently the most popular version of 60 WoW.
Just now coming up on a month after launch. You should be fine, I see people leveling all the time and the starter zones are relatively busy still.
This release of the game only lasts a year then moves on to TBC around next Thanksgiving. Just something to know going into it if you missed that.
Sounds like you’re just coming back to WoW. There are a ton of choices, but the Anniversary realms are a decent one to make! There’s a lot of people playing and you should have fun.
We don’t know if there will be any chance to stay behind in the level 60 world once the anniversary realms move on to TBC. If that seems appealing to you, then Anniversary all the way. Of not, then check out the regular Era realms, though as they are not fresh, there are far fewer people playing through the leveling zones in contrast.
Good luck with whatever you choose. Have fun!
