Hey all. Just resubbed and been playing the new expansion but its just not doing it for me. I want to hop into sod, it seems like its exactly what i want. I know im late so im wondering how the population is? Would definitely want to be on pvp server. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks all
All severs are merging, population wise is going to be prob something like how Whitemane was on classic. A bunch of full layers and people everywhere.
That’s if Blizzard allows people to move from PVP to PVE, because a lot of people doesn’t want to merge with the pvp streamers server and they rather just quit, me included. I’ve talked with a lot of peps and I can tell you it’s not a “me” idea.

Merge starts tomorrow (17th) at 9pm est.
If you’re into PvP might want to reconsider investing time in sod.
Currently there are no wsg or ab games at any time of the day.
A few weeks ago there would atleast be enough players queueing for 1 wsg game starting around 5pm until like 2am. But now the only battleground is AV and it’s just 5 minutes games most of the time with very little PvP
Personally I’m waiting to see if phase 5 (in 1 week) brings back any players to que for wsg and if not then I will be quitting like the rest of the pvpers, until maybe classic+ comes out.

Hows wpvp? Also id imagine ques would be better when servers merge?
Wpvp is fun on crusader strike which will be the PvP mega server. Slightly horde dominant from my experience, but still lots of fun. Finding a good guild to wpvp with hasn’t been so fun.
SoD is a lot of fun. People on these forums are negative to almost a comical degree, so take info from here with a grain of salt.
Not much world PvP on my server (living flame) but that should change on the mega server which will be nice. BGs are cross-realm already so mega server won’t change anything but hoping phase 5 brings back atleast enough people for wsg to be active again

It’s not worth getting into unfortunately. Servers are ghost towns the “pvp” you speak of is griefing on SOD as every class can just 1-3 shot someone. The pve scene for pugging is non existent so you would need to have a guild already and most of the player base will not accept someone with no logs (new player). But if you know a guild to join i would recommend trying out Wild Growth the highest pop server on sod. It’s still on it’s deathbed but you might be able to get some kind of dopamine if you do pick that server. I would highly recommend trying to stick with The War Within. Once you get some gear its amazing and mythic plus just came out !!! Hope you have a great day Kalgorn
