I haven’t played for almost two years, and I re-subbed a couple hours ago, and am curious about shamans. My enh shaman was my main for a long time, but I switched to my warrior at some point, and that is the only toon I have at 60. Are shamans worth the grind? I miss mine, and I’ll probably bring it to 60 regardless.
Worth it how exactly? Resto is like the meta pick for M+ and as far as i know does fine in raids (haven’t raided this tier). RBGs and arenas they aren’t the meta but I do well enough.
Haven’t uses ele or enh for any of that content, (ele in open world content does well in my experience) but as far as I know both can do just fine in arenas and i think with current parses for raid ele is in top 5 dps and enh is top 10.
And now for the tried and true response of play what you enjoy playing. If you miss your shaman then level it and see for yourself if you think it’s worth it to continue on.
So for my two cents worth of talk. Dps Shamans had a negative stigma around them. It is slowly being undone but it is taking a while. Resto is always wanted. Enhancement is a fun spec, I haven’t tried elemental in a while so can not answer that question but I know Elemental just got nerfed not to long ago.
Enhancement is still fun. But as the above poser said play what you like. If your being drawn back into the game because of you’re shaman then level it. Leveling is a lot easier and you will get gear easily as you lvl up and you can decide what to play. Play what you want and how you want games are supposed to be fun.
