Returning player - Whats the point of Korthia?

I know there is a catchup vendor, and you “occasionally” get “catchup” BoP gear from the quests, but otherwise, what is the point? You do not always get cataloged research, and most of the other rewards seem relatively useless, or at least not worth a daily.

I also know there are some mounts you can get, but if folks are not interested in that, and they do mythics, is there any point at all?

To get research you should be searching for chests and doing bosses. The dailies are just for rep and random rewards.

It’ll be five times faster if you farm the research and not rely on dailies.

It’s part of the campaign/xpac lore. Main zone of 9.1 patch.

Just like a lot of other content in the game. Korthia gives you the opportunity to get a few % to your character power. You can get like 5 extra gem sockets, and get all your conduits to 252.

Wait till you see 9.2… no player power attached to zones, the mog sets are mostly meh, and the main system is basically pointless grind mostly…

It offers transmog, resources, it progresses the story if you’re into that, mount and pet drops, but it’s all optional if you don’t care for it.

This is a very touch and go statement.

If it reaches a point that makes m+ and mythic raiders interested …it then becomes mandatory

Korthia is the catchup zone.

LOTS of anima, it basically rains on you and easy catch up gear.

The dailies are usually a quick way to get some rep but you’ll get more doing bosses, chests and farming rift chests. I skip most non-research dailies unless a character needs anima for something.

There’s also one time quests and items that can bring you a significant amount of research, as well as the weekly shaping fate.

Korhia is just another placeholder for few rep vendors and rep grids. Catch up gear is locked behind daily quests, because there is just so much of that currency you can get per day. Not to mention how gear is super expensive.

I’m waiting for day where blizzard will make reputation progress account wide or just lock all the rewards behind quest lines. They need to stop with this friendly/honored/revered BS, or whatever they call it for some other vendors
