Hi guys,
I haven’t played since Shadowlands and I started season 4 DF recently. Currently ilevel 450 and I am still going through the campaign quests after boosting to level 70.
So I assume I should do all the campaign quests and do heroic dungeons until i can do mythic 0’s? Then I would like to get into m+.
I am not too big on raids so I am wondering if its possible to skip it all? I see mention on tier sets and I if that’s locked behind raids?
What about crafting? Should I work on that to get gear or m+ solely will suffice?
You don’t have to raid, but fated LFR would be a good chance to get some loot.
I’ve just been doing world content and geared my Warlock up from like 440 to 464 over the course is 2 casual evenings of play, doing the Dreamsurge and the Fyrakk assault, along with the weekly Aiding the accord quest or w/e it’s called that you can pick up in Valdrakken.
Also Time Walking is this week, pick up the x5 weekly (A Burning Path Through Time) and that will ive you 493+ ilvl loot.
I wouldn’t worry about crafting just yet, if at all. Unless you really want to do it.
What do you mean by Fated LFR? Is that the Awakened version of Vault of the Incarnates LFR? Looks like the ilevel minimum is 463. So looks like m+0 and LFR awakened is something to do.

Yeah.
Awakened LFR, In Shadowlands it was called the Fated season so you’ll see it referred to as Fated by some people.
And it rotates every week, so next week it will be Awakened Aberrus, then the week after Amidrassil, then back to Vault.
Yeah once you get to like 463-ish you can get into LFR and you should be able to find M+0 groups too.
Do you have any idea on how to get tier sets? Is it locked to raids?
Nope!
You can take most gear, including PVP gear, certain world gear, and M+ gear to the Revival Catalyst and turn 1 piece of regular gear into tier gear each week.

Exactly.
I will say crafting is tough to get into at this stage… If you haven’t dinked around with it in DF it is really an entire progression system in and of itself. I have abandoned all professions until TWW, myself, save engineering on my main.
I don’t hate it, but I will say if you are a crafter you’ll never be able to “catch up” with the people who immediately went hard on them.
You CAN use sparks that you will get to have pieces crafted in work orders from those that maxed out professions, though.
So assuming this is week 1, I have to wait another 3 weeks to get the 4 set bonus right? Since it said I will get one charge per reset.
So if this week I choose to use one charge on a 467 ilevel helmet, does that mean the set bonus only applies to that one item? If I get a replacement helmet, then what?
Also if you can gear up a bit first try and get into a Black Temple timewalking run. People sleep on the TW Raid quest, it rewards you with a hero track loot item and a chance for a pet or mount from the expansion I’m pretty sure
I’ll put it this way if you need 450 ilvl going into TWW then I should’ve save my money.
Wow, you missed a great expansion. 10.0 was my favorite since MoP.
I honestly would wait 3 weeks for the catalyst. Keep gearing up, and then when you get the 3 charges, make a 2 piece of your two strongest pieces.
In theory, it should not matter. In theory, you can upgrade the pieces.
But, you can’t upgrade Adventure to Champion, for example. They all have 8 levels, but you can’t upgrade past that, you need a new piece.
You certainly don’t need the tier sets for M+ or anything else. They’re Nice, but not necessary.
So, I would just collect some more gear until it stabilizes a bit, then use the catalyst, get the 2 pc, wait another couple weeks, get the 4pc.
Ahh I see. I thought the tier sets would give a big dps increase.
