Hello players,
I’m sting here reading a lot of posts concerning bugs, missing toons, new tools not working, and most importantly where Blizzard is taking WoW. or is WoW dying off and not worth contributing time or money to.
It has truly been quite some time and these issues are quite problematic for someone to want to rejoin an old but cherished title.
Now obviously there have been quite a lot of changes and everyone has their own opinions thus as a whole or complete consensus of the legitimate aspect of all content of this title would one recommend committing myself to consider further investing in World of Warcraft?
Now, I must include that I do have a level maxed toon from last played and I am a casual player that does enjoy achievements as well as collections, even such that you would find within dungeons or raids. Would this be a topic worth continued investment.
Please do not troll my post as my intent is to inquire information of those who have played for the last several years.
Thank you for any information concerning this post.
At the end of the day, there have been doom and gloom posts about wow’s untimely demise for entirety of the 18 1/2 years that the game’s been around. Yet it’s still here. It’s worth noting though that those of us who regularly answer questions here wouldn’t do so if we didn’t enjoy the game. So that is something to keep in mind.
If your main focus is achievements and collectables, you’ll find there is more than enough to keep you busy. I would actually doubt if there’s another game out there with the sheer number of achievements and collectables as wow has due to it’s long history of content updates. Though I wasn’t especially thrilled with Shadowlands or BFA, now that Dragonflight is upon us I have no problem recommending the game to anyone who enjoys MMO’s again. I’ve greatly enjoyed my time in this expansion so far.

Toons age off of the realm selection list. Logging in to the realms and/or creating a new character of the realm will repopulate the lost for the realm.
A significant number of folks who cannot find their toons are logging in to the wrong WoW account.
Either creating a ticket, or requesting help in the customer service forum will get you assistance locating characters. Be sure to include as much info as you recall — character name, level, class, etc. every bit of info helps.
Dragon Flight has the highest customer retention ratio of any recent xpac at this point in its life cycle. Blizzard has met, and is on track to meet future, content releases.
There is a tremendous amount of content and a variety of activities you can do to create stronger toons without being forced into certain types of content.
We haven’t seen an xpac with this much soul since WotLK. However, some mechanics have changed. It’s not same old, same old. It’s not the same game it was 18 years ago.

pretty much everything you’re concerned about, isn’t an issue.
…especially if you’re reading it on the forum.
there are a sub-set of posters (especially in General Discussion) who seem to think it’s hilarious to try and make the game look bad.
according to these people, WoW is dying, or in maintenance mode, and every new game is “the WoW killer”… but we’ve been hearing that for 15 years or so, and it hasn’t happened yet.
there are bugs, always have been, always will be with a game of this size.
anything which is game-breaking gets fixed quickly.
if you like collecting stuff, there’s a crazy amount of stuff to collect, and the new Trading Post has just been added with some fancy transmog items which are making an appearance in-game for the first time, like bandoliers and corsages.
…and we’ve just gained the ability to add white and gray items to our wardrobe collection!!

Thank all of you for your insight as I have always loved this title.
It is nice to see a good forum of good players.
Thank all of you again. see you in the game.
I just returned to Azeroth in November after quite a long break myself: break started at the beginning of BfA when I was levelling around at release and between not being in a good mental space and frustration over the content itself I decided it was time for a break, came back at the start of SL, still wasn’t feeling it and was off again.
But now I am feeling good and playing again, very super casual player, only done up to the opening of the Centaur Plains in Dragonflight and spend most of my time is older content (just one item of one achievement left from getting Mechagon mount ;-))
There is tons to do for any type of collector and achievement hunter. Most content is soloable up until the end of Legion and just becomes more fun running with friends!
