Returning Player Question!

I’m a returning player, and pre-purchased TWW, giving me a boost. I decided to boost my Pally. I mainly just PVP.

Do I have to complete any of the main story quests, prior to the pre-patch? Or will it just start fresh for everyone?

Any information on the subject, or anything I should be doing, I’d appreciate the help :slight_smile:

You might want to complete the main story quest if you want. There is a quest chain to start the pre-patch events that you’ll need to do if you want the gear.

Other than that just have fun.

Alright sounds good! You wouldn’t happen to know the start quest to that chain do you? Appreciate your help!

The three showing for under “campaign” me are:

  • Call of the Dream
  • Fire season
  • The Harbringer

I remember the call of the dream quest beginning with a npc named Shandris in Valdrakken. And for the Harbringer you should receive a quest automatically to go to dalaran and meet with Khadgar.

If you mainly PvP (as in real PvP, AKA BGs) you don’t need to touch questing.
Just queue up and have fun.

You don’t “need” anything from DF to do TWW pre patch other than being max level.

Even the pre patch event itself isn’t mandatory and can be 100% skipped with no consequences moving into the next xpac.

Isn’t there a prepatch quest you get only for completing a certain line in Dragonflight?

There does appear to be a pre req for the July 23 line. Says you need to complete the emerald dream line and be level 70 for the visions quest or w/e.

I believe it is The Harbringer, but I am more than likely wrong. There should be a guide coming up soon or you could check Wowhead / any other one of the messages before mine. They probably have the answer :smile:

Do the Harbinger quest. It’ll take about 5 minutes and from what I understand, walks you into the prepatch when it launches.

Fire season is fun and Call of the dream I don’t recall but I think it opens up Emerald Dream to you which can be useful.
