when i log onto my main i just feel overwhelmed when i look at all the changes. I feel like i should start over from scratch so i learn what everything does and what changes were mad but then i think of all the time i played my older characters and such. Idk just feels weird. Played some of the classic had some fun but i wanted to try some of the newer content that who knows if anyone is even still playing

Well like, how long have you been gone? Are you coming back from a couple of patches break or like a couple of expansions? I can see how it would be overwhelming, but you can probably get caught up in half a week for most current patch things.
If you’ve never touched Shadowlands, you got a lot of catching up to do. The important thing is, take your time! Enjoy things at your own pace and don’t rush. We’re gonna be in SL for many more months, so there’s no need to rush. Season 4 will be out in a few months and that’s going to revitalize a lot of old content, which means that this all isn’t going anywhere for a while. You got time to catch up.

Unfortunately, same. I have played WoW on and off for years. Any time I am goner for longer than 6 months to a year I feel the need to just start over from scratch because there is just so much bs that is changed and added. It’s kind of a cluster of just blah.
I really wouldn’t come back at this time. Apparently in the new expansion they are going to make things more clear. We will see. I definitely have my doubts.
Why do you start over. Ive also played wow like you and the op and visit every expansion…do everything i can or when i feel the need to move on, and come back later. Ill usually take 6 to 8 month breaks myself or until something big arrives into the game.
I dont like starting over because that is a waste of time for me. Ill take my main and do a little research, ask questions on this forum, and ask players in game on the confusing points. I usually have great luck in finding the correct path to take and then earn my seat time and refine it.
Hell, im just now getting the queens conservatory fully operational after all this time lol. I guess being a bit overwhelmed in new content is challenging to me…a soothing glutton for punishment i would guess.

Just follow your camapin quests. They will lead you to where you need to be. If you have MZ unlocked, focus there. Hope it helps
Didn’t by SL won’t buy next pac if things don’t change will read the forum first before I decide.
You could try making a trial of your same class if you are feeling rusty/unsure of the changes or you could even try out something completely new since you are starting from scratch anyway~
Classic is definitely a sort of safe space where nothing changes much, everything’s been figured out and you can never really fall behind… but you can also regress hard and become unadaptable.
If you just want to be cozy 100% and don’t really care about missing out stick with classic but if you want to try some new experiences just jump in!

I will play as long as my gold last for me once it’s gone so am I. Played this game for 14 years and always brought the lastest Xpac with excitment. But when I saw what they were doing to pvp I didn’t and so glad now. Have a good day.
Don’t think of it as starting afresh. Think of it as starting a new class you haven’t played before (even if you have).
Just… don’t get overwhelmed. Coming in at the end of an expansion is always hard coz u have multiple patches worth of content and their fixes and the catch ups. Just level your toon and get familiar with your class. If you can get back to speed quickly, great. Otherwise once the new expansion hits, you start from scratch like everyone.

what on earth have they done to the auction house? the interface is very odd. I have a choice of the same 66 bags at the exact same price? that does not seem like its right to me?

how can i even level a toon when the auction house is so odd to me now even? why would they screw with something that worked as well as it did.

The default AH is better than it was. If anything doesn’t really need any addon to make sense. Just spend a minute with it.

The old Ah was a nightmare. Im not sure whats so weird about the newer AH and the ability to sell items faster.
All the price checking i had to do on the older AH so that i could correctly price my own items took forever. There was a much larger chance for mis pricing as well.
The newer AH is just click item, look at the list, adjust your price, list item. It cant get much easier than that.
but from what i can tell i cant even see who is selling the item or if there are any that are not “bid” maybe its just because there is nothing on there on the server i am on?
