Returning player lost

I haven’t played WoW in quite some years. I’m just returning and I’m wondering where I should be leveling at from 35-40, 40-45, 45-50 etc.

Anywhere you want! Go to stormwind and ask the guards to direct you to the embassy and you’ll find Chromie in her gnome form. If you talk to her you can pick any expansion you want and quest there. Selecting an expansion will also put you into dungeon finder for that expansion if you queue dungeons

I don’t know this dude and am not endorsing his video, but he’s got a lot of likes and when I skimmed it a lot of good information.

With chromie time, you can choose the expansion to explore and go about leveling that way.

There are no more lvling zones and areas as they used to be. Now with the scaling it’s just where you want to quest.

If you missed Legion, open your class hall. If you never did Draenor, get your garrison. The opening quests of each expansion give the fastest burst of Xp imho.

Not sure if it helps fully, but I don’t know when ya left. Hope this helps.

The paladin speaks true! Also if you go into Chromie Time the entire world scales with you. You’re never locked into the expansion you choose. So you can bounce around nearly anywhere you want for however long you want. The main decision is just which dungeons you want in your queue.

If you don’t choose CT then expansions have set level ranges similar to how they used to:

Vanilla/BC/Wrath: 10-30
Cata: 30-35
MoP: 10-35
WoD: 10-40
Legion: 10-45
BfA: 10-50

I’ll suggest that while on Chromie time, you don’t queue for dungeons, because the timeline you chose locks you to dungeons of that era only, which fragments any possible people queuing to abysmal numbers.

If he hasn’t played in years, isn’t it unlikely he’d have chromie time available?

Yea it says you need to be level 50 for it on wowed

You need to lvl to 50 in BfA on one toon before chromie time is unlocked for your account.

Good news, I used a BFA level boost to 48 and it got me on track with questing and reminded me of what spells to use.
