This probably falls under the “no-one cares” but hey im bored and it makes for a good discussion. I’ve basically been an on and off player since WoW started. I would consider myself wedged in the middle of casual player and hardcore player. I care enough about learning the game to look up class guides/rotation/boss fights but won’t go to the level of min-maxing a character.
For the most part I found legion good but got a little tired of things toward the end so I put off BfA for awhile. But in general im enjoying BfA and figured i’d list what I enjoy and what I haven’t.
Things I like so far:
- Questing felt relatively painless, leveling honestly shouldn’t be a hassle at this point as most content is end-game.
- Story was fine, Im not a HUGE lore person but I can’t say I feel particularly unengaged in this go-around. If anything I did care some…which is more than normal.
- Benthic catch up gear is nice for someone like me that can’t play more than a couple of hours a night.
- I like the new zones, mechagon and najatar especially. I don’t feel like im “required” to do particular things to progress
- I really like the new PVP warfront and island expeditions. Gives me something to do at least.
- I feel like there is plenty to do without it feeling like a complete chore. There is almost too many…but I don’t feel punished if I don’t do them.
Things I am not a big fan of:
- I hate pathfinder like everyone else, although It’s not AS big of a deal to me right now because i’ve sort just tried not to care too much about flying and in reality it’s not “that big” of a deal. Still sucks for someone that can’t play super often.
- Allied races are really cool, I finally unlocked mag’har orcs which was great…but I wasn’t a fan of the rep grind. It’s not “that” bad though TBH. Maybe took less than a week of dedicated concentration on it.
- In general I hate all reputation based things, again though it didn’t feel brutal this go around but just more of a slight annoyance.
- My fav spec (Enhancement) isn’t great and feels weak…but this has been discussed to death.
- WoW in general has slowly worked away from being more alt friendly. I know people say “it’s more alt friendly” and it is in a way but due to amount of “more” content that exists I find it very difficult to feel inspired to make another class. So if you picked a class that you hated and grinded all the way up…it’s not gonna be fun to do that again.
