Returning Player - Characters Level are at 0?

Hi,

Please forgive my question. I sent a ticket up for help and the response seemed a bit short.

So im asking if i may, did Blizzard ever reset professions for characters since Wrath of the Litchking?

On coming back and all of my mains have their professions at zero?

I was seeeking info everywhere and i cant find an explanation.

The support request simply specified Blizzard isnt doing anything to adjust professions for players.

Im asking since it did take me A Long time to get maxed out…very long. …lots of time …

If Blizzard did reset the professions im okay with that. I havent been able to clarify if this is just normal or if somehow only my characters got reset.

They did break it out so each expansions skill is separate. so instead of 0-300 being classic, then 300-375 BC, 375-450 WotLK, etc.
its now 0-300 classic
0-75 BC
0-75 Wrath, etc
so, maybe when you are seeing that zero its for one of the newer expansions, and your older skills should still be there, under a tab or dropdown of some sort

Afaik they did not reset any points.

They did, however, split them into the various expansions. So if you had 450 points (classic + outland + WotLK), you’d see a drop-down on the top bar where it shows your skill. It will show you now have 300 classic and 75 outland and 75 northrend. You can then level each expansion separately. You’d have 0 for the current expansion, because you haven’t done it.

If you don’t see the drop down, and the points aren’t there for your character, all you can do is put in a ticket and hope for a response.

Just checking in with you because I’m curious and I’m hoping good things for you:

Did you find your Classic/TBC/WotLK professions, and were they correct, showing all the recipes and maxed levels?

I hope you did. I, too, have characters I leveled professions on back in the day, and I would be upset if I lost any of that. Anyway, that’s it. Just checking in.

For me it seems all is well. Like others mentioned under the tabs you can see your previous levels. In my case they all were maxed except the current xpac. Looks good to me
