Returning Player | Can't progress in Leatherworking?

Hi there,

Just came back for a look whats new, I dropped after Lich King (yeah, its been a while). I am somehow in Pandaria now and am trying to level my profession (Leatherworking/ Skinning).

How does one train professions in these new expansions? My Cataclims skill bar is 75/75 and thats it, I can’t seem to train beyond it. Is “Journeyman” not trainable anymore?

And first aid went to Mages lol? When did that happen?

all the professions for expansions are separate now - if you want to learn dragon flight lw, you have to go to trainers in that expansion. Same with The War Within and BFA and Legion and Shadowlands.

Ah, so I need to go and find a leatherworking and a skinner trainer in Pandaria? Interesting.

yeah - those might be at the shrine but several of them are scattered all over mop

oh maybe not - this might be old though

In Draenor AFAIK there is no skinning trainer; you just start skinning and pretty soon a scroll will drop that trains you in skinning for that expansion.

Also, you’ll need to skin in each expansion’s zones to get skill points for that expansion’s skinning - for example you can’t get skill points for Outland skinning in Northrend. And each expansion is leveled independently - you don’t need to max out the older expansions before moving on to the next one. So whatever zone you choose to play in you can level the professions for that area regardless of how much you worked on them before.

And as far as the first aid profession being removed, that happened 6 years ago in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Cloth still drops for anyone in all the old expansion areas, but in Khaz Algar (the new expansion zone) cloth drops are restricted to tailors only.

This is great help @Tureja, @Aqure, thanks!
