I took several months off from the game. Coming back, I read that Rising Mist is being taken more often. Any guilds y’all can recommend to read? Not sure of stats and gear to get for it.

Having read through that guide previously, I want to add a couple of things. There are some things that aren’t included in the guide, or (in my opinion) worded poorly.
In the guide, it states that Misty Peaks gains no value from haste as it has a set proc rate per minute. While this is true, that doesn’t mean you don’t want it. In fact, the opposite. It’s often better to 3 stack this trait. Your other 3 available trait options will likely be any combination of Uplifted Spirits, Secret Infusion, or Heart of Darkness (if you have the corruption for it).
The essences section is pretty accurate. Since this healing style can be more mana intense, you’ll more than likely want to go Lucid Dreams Major. For your 3 minors I prefer Unwavering Ward, ERT, and then Formless Void (we can get decent haste value if your group has people using essences with short CD’s like Crucible).
For talents I would actually vote for SotC over Mana Tea. The point of the build is to maximize the amount of RSK’s you do to extend your HoT uptime, which means a lot of Blackout Kicks (and in turn, plenty of mana).
As far as your rotation goes, I don’t necessarily agree with the guide either. There should be more trust placed in your other healers (if we’re talking about raid). The general damage rotation should be:
RSK on CD, BoK>TP>BoK>TP etc. until RSK is back up. Always use RSK on CD. If you need to weave in healing, the best place to put it is in between BoK’s in place of the Tiger Palms to maximize the amount of possible CD refreshes on RSK.
One thing that this guide doesn’t talk about at all is expedient, which is the haste % corruption. It’s wonderful, and helps your average haste over the course of the fight tremendously. The higher % your average haste, the more HoTs you can keep out. The more HoTs you keep out, the more mana efficient your Vivify becomes.

I honestly am a big fan of Light Water/Mistwater’s content. He has a youtube channel and explains very well what he does or tries to do. He even points out his own mistakes, something many players have difficulty with.
I urge anyone to go take a look at his content. He kinda gives off a “neckbeard” kinda vibe when you first look at some of his videos, but he is incredibly humble and has some wonderful dialogue about this build.
