Hi y’all! I was a monk main from MoP throughout SL and recently returned to Monk after a hiatus from the class! There’s a few things I notice and I’m wondering if I can improve on Windwalker as I don’t know if it’s a me issue or not.
- Is energy regeneration low, or will Haste improve it? Currently sitting at 12%
- Crackling Jade Lightning is now rotational and not situational, correct?
- Which of the Hero specs is better suited for M+ and Raid? WoWhead recommends Shado Pan for both but I’d like a different perspective if Celestial is better.
Sorry if these have all been answered before, and thank you for the responses! <3
Thank you so much for the thought out responses! I’ll give this all a go, thank you.
You’re prolly gonna want more haste than that. It won’t generate a lot more energy, but it helps. You’ll want it more for dam and CDR.
Kinda? With LEC and PoTK it’s a lil bit of both in that yea you’ll lightning the crap out of packs. But also situational in that, if you’re currently on one target but more are gonna pop up soon, prolly hold a full charge of lightning to cleave the upcoming dudes.
Depends on the content you’re doing. Technically I think the rule for raid is if the fight aint gonna be longer than 5min Conduit beats out SP, but I don’t think it matters at this point in the season. The difference between the two is that SP is more consistent damage overtime while Conduit is super peaks and valleys burst. So like prolly SP if your pugging M+, and Conduit if you’re doing like very specific pulls with your homies to line up with CDs. I’m usually SP most of the time. I can’t remember the last time I was in Conduit outside of PvP.
That said, I’d recommend you at least try out Conduit once you get 4 set bonus because my god is that burst fun. If you can ride the lightning, you can fit like 5 FoFs in about 10-15 sec for your burst, and that is just a rush.
