Hey all,
I haven’t played much since Legion, recently came back and spent the last week unlocking Nightborne, then faction changed my 120 Warlock (leveled through BGs, hasn’t quested at all in BfA content) over to Nightborne.
I’m a little lost on what I should be doing. Since I haven’t done the BfA story am I required to quest through the entire expansion even as a 120 to unlock the things I want to do like Raids, Rep Grinds, Dailies? What’s the best place to get started with this? Thanks!
You’ll need to quest through enough of the 3 leveling zones to get to friendly with those factions and do the first 3 foothold quests of the War Campaign to unlock World Quests on your first character. Once you’ve done the 3 foothold quests, you can pick up “Uniting Zandalar” which will direct you to get to friendly with said factions.
Once that’s done, your next step should be Naz’jatar. (The quest should pop up once world quests are unlocked. You might need to relog for it to show up.) You’ll want to do enough of this to unlock essences. (Shortly after you start the Naz’jatar stuff, Magni will show up with a set of quests that lead to unlocking Essences.) Naz’jatar also has some decent gear upgrades. (As a hint, at one point you’ll get a quest to use 20 mana pearls to upgrade a piece of gear. If you hold off on that quest, you can use those mana pearls for 4 ilvl 385 tokens.)
Once you’ve unlocked essences, you can start on the cloak unlock chain. (The quest will pop up the next time you are in Zuldazar.) You may need to spend some time gearing up in Naz’jatar so you don’t go squish, though.
