I just wanted the community opinion on this subject and just to see what you all would think about maybe bringing back Gladiator Titles/Mount to the 2v2 bracket again.
If I am not mistaken 2v2 Gladiator titles were taken out in season 7 (wrath) or beginning of Cataclysm. Typically the titles were awarded to top 0.5% players and rank 1 to the rank 1 team/players.
With the beginning of BFA they changed the way PVP works in the aspect that you can now obtain the Gladiator title and receive the mount by getting 2400 rating and winning 50 games within the Gladiator rank.
Thus, the reason of my discussion, with the change that they made towards PVP achivements, should Gladiator titles + Mounts return to 2v2? In my opinion I think it would be great for the game, it would promote more gameplay within the bracket and overall give pvp’ers the chance to earn other rewards by other means as well.
Rank 1 titles should remain only in the 3v3 bracket as most of the time professional WoW players typically earn them over the masses.
Let me know your thoughts, should the Gladiator title + mount return to the 2v2 bracket now that Gladiator title is an achivement that can be earned at 2400 w/ 50 wins vs having to be in the top 0.5%.

Considering all the aids in BFA (like destro), 2v2 giving titles is like giving participation awards to players who haven’t rightfully earned it.

Make a whole new title ect for 2s. In lulls like this sometimes 2s games are more enjoyable to watch and play lol…

Yeah definitely should not given out in 2’s . I think you should be able to get the mount but not the titles.

I would actually like this to be implemented again. PVP needs more love from blizzard in general.

Glad mounts should be new, and two seater maybe even 3 seater?!?! For your entire threes team. And 2s can be a ground mount.

@inquisition,
thanks for the feedback. Even if a title cannot be earned, maybe just getting the mount is rewarding enough since it can only be obtain through PVP.
@Azier
Thanks for the feedback. I think blizzard showing love to different activities in the game is a great thing for the community.
I believe this could be good content as well for Content Creators in general, maybe they can have a Gladiator All-Classes Challenge they try to do in a single season.

I wouldve thought you were for this judging by your 1500 rating? Ya know to give you a shot
I mean, Ive earned Gladiator a few times already in my time playing WoW on 3 different classes (Warlock, H paladin, and DK). I personally just enjoy playing the game, I would honestly just like to see some new benefit come to the 2v2 bracket and a way to obtain achivements, mounts, and titles as you previously could before in the past.
It just opens up a new avenue on how to earn things, and as a content creator, it helps create new content such as Gladiator on all classes in a single season. Stuff like that would be cool/fun to see.

I’ve been against 2v2 Gladiators up until BFA.
Since switching to 50wins above 2.4, thus greatly diminishing the exclusivity of Glad titles, I now couldn’t care less.
3s ladder is so dead throughout these long seasons that having more incentive to push 2v2 when you don’t have a 3s team ready to queue could be nice.
My main critique for 2s glad was that the bracket is way harder to balance and fotms rule supreme, but 3v3 has been exactly that since 8.1.5 sadly.

Well said, and I think thats maybe what I am trying to get out as well.
The Gladiator title is not as exclusive or even accomplishment in BFA as it was before in the past. Up until BFA, you had to be in the top 0.5% for Glad, and 0.1% for Rank 1. typically Gladiator rating was roughly 2750-2800+
With Glad just needing 2400 + 50 wins, it dimishes the exclusivity just like you mentioned and it doesnt hold much value as it did previously, thus the reason, it could return to the 2v2 bracket as another avenue to obtain Gladiator.

I’m cool with it but it loses the prestige value of being a gladiator imo. I guess that’s the same way ppl felt about bfa changes but it increased participation and people end up having to que more rather than sit a rating. I would also like to be able to que with opposite faction that would make finding people to play with much easier
Glad has been as
Low as 2.4-5 in past seasons so to say it’s always 2.7 or more is not accurate. Also I disagree that it’s not an achievement. Sure season glad season 1 was much much easier than season 2 but it’s still an accomplishment
i believe it depends on what faction you were playing.
I don’t really look into what was the alliance rating required, but typically horde was 2700+
3s is just as bad as 2s now. Let em have it.

Glad was like 2200 on my bg back in tbc and early wrath. I think there were only like half a dozen other people on my server with shoulders, and rank 1 was around 2350-2400
for THC and early Wrath. The Rating I refer to know is within recent years and pvp season. I am basing the rating off of WOD, Legion, and BFA atm.
2200 in BC was about glad
2400-2500 Wrath
Cataclysm and MoP 2700+
WoD 2750-2800+
Legion 2750-2800+ (introduction of Faction Gladiator vs overall player base)
BFA 2400+ w/ 50 wins.
Glad was 2337 in S14 of MOP but ya old system was cooler

It can’t be the same if the rewards only count towards one bracket and not the other.
Could you elaborate more?
Great explanation, thanks for your input.
