Returning Champion/Defending Champion cannot be upgraded

Both trinkets are L29, upgrade 0 of 2. Even with the ancient heirloom armor casing, which is required to upgrade trinkets armor and the like, it does not highlight like the other trinkets and says that it cannot be used on that item. I am unsure if this is a new issue, known bug or what, but I’d like to upgrade them if at all possible.

if I’m doing the big dumb feel free to delete this but, I don’t think this is actually intended.

Edit: just to be doubly sure I checked on the character that I earned the trinkets on to see if that would have any bearing on the upgradability; it does not.

No dice my bovine friend (sorry for the delay there, was leveling a thing), I cannot use the timeworn one on it either. it’s item level may say 35, but it only goes to L30 (or is good through L29). I do appreciate the suggestion, tho!

i’ll edit my above comment before i get piled on for posting bad info :stuck_out_tongue:

wowhead is also saying people are unable to currently upgrade this item.
