So, in the past I have been able to reactivate my account from within the character selection screen and purchase a wow token from gold on my account. Today I cannot find or trigger the option. It only opens a page to the web site. I don’t have enough Bnet balance to purcahse 2 months of game time and the single month only allows CC or paypal, not Bnet balance. But again, I would much prefer to give $20 via token purchase than $15 through a CC. Am I missing something to being able to purchase a token on an expired account through the character select screen, or is my comback over before it started?
To purchase through the Char select screen you need enough gold to cover the current token price on the AH. There are limits to how that gold works based on server, etc, I think.
Single month is only available as a reoccuring subscription which yes, requires CC or Paypal, not Balance.
If you don’t have the gold, and don’t want to sign up for a sub, you are limited to the 2 month option.
I have enough gold for a few years worth of tokens still.
How ever odd it won’t let you use it. Is it all on one faction and server? I think that has a lot to do with how the system pulls it.
Edit - also another person mentioned in a diff thread tonight that they are having purchase issues. It is possible the whole purchase system has a glitch right now? Not sure.
Yes, all my characters/gold is on the same server. I even have a good chunk on my main 2 toons iirc
If it is all same faction and server you should be set. I have no idea why the game would not recognize your attempt to buy a token, unless the purchase system is down overall right now or glitched.
Not sure any Blizz staff are around right now to look so this may need to wait, unfortunately.
Yeah, wouldnt be surprised if it was something they stealth changed, like the ability to purchase a single month using Bnet. I’ve read that they have been able to give a free day here and there to let people log in and refill tokens, but, it seems hit and miss on which rep you get on your case. Here’s hoping
