If Anduin can get the light back Thrall should return to being a Shaman.

He’s not anymore? What is he?
He is as close to a warrior as he can get. He still uses totems but does not use the elements. He hasn’t been a Shaman since the start of legion
Oh wow … I must have forgotten about that lol. I mean I played the whole class campaign so I dunno what I was doing 
Did recall him throwing a lava burst here and there in Sepulcher in SL, but yea he mostly just an auto attacker these days.
I understand he has a complicated relationship with the elements, but he was seen conjuring stone paths in the Sylvanas encounter in Sanctum of Domination in Shadowlands, so there is precedence he still has command of that power post-Legion.
I believe his prominence in the TWW cinematic along with Anduin is telling that he will regain his elemental prowess the same as Anduin regains the light over the course of this saga.
Someone should make a sad montage of thrall put the music of “losing my religion”
Yea he gave his doom hammer stating its not responding to him anymore. there was a scene in bfa where he is using a totem in his hand to do a group stealth but. He no longer creates bridges of earth and uses the elements.
I didn’t see this scene but SL is when my guild imploded after the first raid.
I have been farming this on my hunter to get the back quiver, the only paths I see are made of ice from Jaina Proudmore.
Thrall needs his 
back before he can regain his shaman powers and be cool again.
Anduin was never cool to begin with.
Thrall just has the air of an insecure teenager that believes he fits in nowhere and is reluctant to branch out after a few blows to the ego.
Dude needs to believe he is an orc first and foremost THEN we can go searching for his

During Shadowlands when he’s captured by the Jailer, we have a quest to rescue him and its one of those “defend me while I do a thing” quests. At the end of the waves Thrall calls on the elements and they answer him and he strikes all the enemies dead with lightning.
I’m pretty sure he’s back to being a shaman, they’re just deliberately dumbing him down, because otherwise he would solve all our problems before lunch.
Jaina too and it’s just like how they sidelined Malfurion in the Emerald Dream patch. These characters are too powerful for the story anymore, so they either need to intentionally make them weaker or retire them like they did with Furion.

Yeah, you may be right. I know They’ve been doing the same thing with Malfurion who could potentially be such a BA as well but they keep neutering him with awful story writing. Didn’t they sorta kinda bring him back though since he returned from the Shadowlands? It’s been difficult to give af about the story for a while so I dunno for sure.
