Return Seals Blizzard

Blizzard please return seals to us

With everything they’ve stolen from Diablo 3 I think it would be cool to have them like the Crusader’s Laws. Small passive effect when activated, can be used as a cooldown with an active effect, like a party buff or something (not like how judgments used to be). They were pretty iconic, more I’d say than auras.

Actually, just bring back Empowered Seals from WOD. Maybe tweak it a bit so each spec gets one seal and empowered seals that gives it an effect when you Judge.

I want seal of blood back. Playing tbc paladin has me wanting them back more

I’d take seals over auras, not like ret really uses them anyhow. It makes sense to have auras, but I kind of wish that each specc had something unique that the other two don’t. Maybe give prot proper blessings like kings, give holy auras, and give ret seals.

I like the idea but imo seals should return to all 3 specs. Like have a seal for prot that gives extra threat or damage mitigation.

Playing tbc reminds me how i used seals to support the group i was a part of as a paladin when tbc came out originally. And Playing with them again is just as fun but shows how retail homogenized our class taking away something unique that we had.

WTB Wrath era seals. Where if you use judgement it applies the effect but doesn’t wipe the seal.

Would be nice to see that and blessings. Warriors have bshout and Priests got for. DH and Monk both have debuffs they apply.

Would be cool to see paladins have blessings (NOT holy I don’t want to just see them casually replace every other spec like they always do).

Maybe druids get motw.

I think seals, re-tuned for today’s world of strikes and holy power, would be terrific.

Command: chance for extra HoPo on autoattack.

Crusader: abilities cool down faster

Righteousness: splash damage and splash healing

Insight: leech

Stuff like that. …Actually I’m not sure if Crusader would be overpowered, but these are just general ideas.

I want seal of blood back I would trade the health damage for the dps damage. And think of how it would help us break cc on ourselves. See a mage sheeping u toss a judgement at the mage just before it goes off. You get sheeped and then the judgement hits you take damage and bam sheep broken. same with any cc that is broken by damage.

Remove Holy Power, bring back seals, slap a cd on TV and DS.

You removed it for prot and holy during Legion but those 2 specs are actually the ones that never had any issues with HoPo in the first place.

I don’t see the problem in a spec not having a second resource management system.

Yeah, that previous iteration where the Judgment consumed the seal was perhaps the most awful class mechanic in the game’s history (yes, worse than the first iteration of Holy Power). I just don’t know how anyone played a Paladin before that change.

I…guess…I wouldn’t mind seals back. I’d rather not go back to the days of “your damage isn’t fully ramped up until you’ve done five auto-attack swings” though.

Being able to have a one-button macro for a rotation was not a good thing imo.

Seal of Blood / Martyr and Spiritual Attunement was peak game design honestly, the synergi was amazing.

I liked it as I could judge a seal to help the group and then use the seal I wanted for dps and the judged seal debuffed the boss with an effect that could help our group. I was partial support/dps as ret. Thats how I played my char back then. When I had paladin tanks I would judge with seal of wisdom so they could gain mana back while I used seal of blood or which other seal I felt helped me with dps.

I miss seals. I hate holy power but to play my favorite class I guess I will have to get used to it in retail but again I miss seals and want them back

Lets not, look at how bad auras are, we don’t need another blast from the past that well SUCKS.

Seals were fun and we had more interactions with seals than auras and as it seems quite a few wants them returned

And quite a few people think chocolate milk comes from brown cows, should we listen to them too?

Unless Blood did its damage as a DoT, I don’t think it’d work. WoW’s engine seems to cause damage to be dealt de facto as soon as a cast is finished; the fact that the numbers only appear once a projectile hits the target is just them delaying the appearance of the number cosmetically. So in theory Judgment would technically do its damage before the polymorph debuff would be on you.

Actually, I like Holy Power—at least as Holy.

Judgement has a travel time. So you cast judgement just before the cc goes off. you get cced and then your judgement hits the target dealing damage to the target and when using seal of blood doing damage to yourself thus breaking cc. It works.

And quite a few people have failed sarcasm such as yourself which we should just laugh at and then ignore. Seals would bring more interactions than auras.

It’s true! Back when I heard about all the unpruning they were doing for Shadowlands, my Holy-specific wishlist was like this:

Holy Radiance > Denounce > Holy Power > Seals > Blessings > Auras

Heck, if they replaced our Auras with Blessings that were converted into Greater Blessings for a few seconds when we hit Aura Mastery, it’d at least look cooler than auras, and it’d have more interaction.

But seals are, of course, better still.
