Return of the Tabard of the Argent Dawn - 10.1.5

TLDR: Tabard of the Argent Dawn making a return in 10.1.5 needs to happen!

With 10.1.5 throwing us back into Naxxramas to collect ancient recipes, armor sets, and more that had long been taken out of the game, could this also be an opportunity for the Argent Dawn Tabard to make it’s grand return?

Many of us recognize that the Argent Dawn evolved into what we now recognize as the Argent Crusade. However, we know that the Argent Dawn faction is still around. In fact, at Light’s Hope Chapel, Dispatch Commander Metz is still donning the Argent Dawn tabard and is a firm member of the Argent Dawn. This shows, in terms of lore, the faction still exists and not everyone has merged with the Argent Crusade.

Many of us recognize that the tabard was part of a special event - the scourge invasions. However, since these old vanity items are making a return, it would be a perfect opportunity to bring the tabard back as we are out purging the scourge once again, collecting corruptor’s scourgestones and invader’s scourgestones.

While there is an argument made regarding the feat of strength achievement, this can be dodged with the premise of bringing back the tabard with a different name, similar to the tabard of protector. In fact, this WAS the case with (as an example) Might of Menethil being reclaimed as Strength of Menethil.

It would make perfect sense to add this tabard back to the vendor, requiring some form of currency. At least a replica of the tabard bearing the same model.

What does the argent dawn tabard look like?
I looked up my achievements and I have the feat of strength for it, is it rare and you had to have gotten way back or is the tabard available to everyone now?

When Naxxramas was originally incorporated into the game, there was a one time only scourge event where you could buy the argent dawn tabard.

Upon the release of burning crusade they had another one time only event where you could buy the Tabard of Protector which isn’t the Argent Dawn tabard but the same model.

Anyone whi picked up the game after that would never get the chance at grabbing the tabard. To me, it’s a simple tabard yet my favorite for lore reasons.

I don’t think it’s entirely unreasonable for blizzard to bring it back considering they are bringing back some pretty big items that have been sought after for over a decade. It also would make total sense given what items they are bringing back.

As someone who has the ADT, let me say that I 100% support this! I have enjoyed mine for Years now, and I would absolutely love it if everyone else got the opportunity to enjoy it like I have had.

I have all the tier 3 armor sets after spending millions and spending years lol. The one thing I never had to put the cherry on top, so to speak, was that nifty argent dawn tabard.

They should have re-added it back during the Shadowlands Pre-patch. It was a scourge invasion and the other 2 scourge invasions we had it!

But ya needs to be re-added (and T3 raw gold cost needs to be reduced, 2.8 mil per set is absurd)

but if they are going to bring it back, now makes perfect sense with this Naxxramas event!

Yes!

And also lamented gear drop rate needs to be increased. 61 attempts and zero lamented gear just encourages me to never try it again.

And the price of goldsinkweave needs to be way lower than 2K.

Ya should be at least a 20% drop chance, as is it’s more like 2%.

Then one of the following changes:

  1. Change Phylacterweave to cost 200g
  2. Reduce the Phylacterweave by a factor of 10. So for example you need 7 for bracers instead of 70.
  3. Make Phylacterweave more readily available (maybe 3-5 pieces a boss) AND Bind on Account.
