Dethroned feral as the worst melee in the game
I want to say no, but I can’t
Shh…no facts allowed.
Pretty sure TBC is still worse.
Honestly every version of Ret could never match how bad it was to be Ret during TBC or Vanilla. The designs were just that bad.
People at least wanted ret in TBC cause they had decent utility and seal of blood Rets did decent damage relative to everyone else.
Same thing could be said in early Vanilla, when Blessing of Kings was a 31 Retribution talent. It’s not like it’s hard to create a system where people desire to bring your class / spec.
I quit my ret when my shaman did more dps with a lower ilvl. When shamans were said to be the worst dps in the game. My hunter 10 ilvls lower does more dps than my ret lol. So so so so so sad.
you clearly never played ret in vanilla or you wouldnt be saying this, ret was the worst in vanilla. Ret has only gotten better since TBC with Wrath being the best version of Ret with Legion being the 2nd.
Yikes. This actually makes me sad as I was enjoying Ret in PvP but the damage really just isn’t there. I’ve noticed that even when I’m not dying and using burst whenever possible, I rarely if ever get top damage. Near the top, yes, but never top. I do get high healing done though. Right below the main healers.
Is this normal? Do rets just do no damage in PvP and PvE?
Who are you trying to talk to?
You need the Azerite Trait “Avenger’s Might” to truly show the Ret Paladin’s damage potential in PvP, however, you’re going to be outshined by Warlocks pretty much every single time regardless.
I’ll have to swap some traits around to try it. I’ve been playing holy mostly in PvP as I feel more effective that way. For damage I play my rogue that I’ve been playing for many expacs now.
Thanks for the tip!
