Retroactive Angler rep?

So I recently came back to the game after taking several years off towards the end of Cata. I am very confused as to how to go back and unlock the Angler dailies to work my way towards the strider mount. I have started by doing quests in the MoP expansion, but I keep seeing that fishing leveling is needed, but I am confused as how to level mist fish specifically as my professions page skipped from cata to legion but shows that mists fishing is not leveled.

Long story short: Does anyone know how to retroactively pursue/unlock angler dailies to work towards the strider mount? I’m not looking for a shortcut, I don’t mind the grind. However, there seems to be a lack of information regarding how to do this given the situation I am in. Thanks so much for all your help!

With the exception of Archaeology, professions now are separated by expansion. So, you’ll specifically have to learn Pandaria fishing, which means you’ll need to find a fishing trainer in Pandaria to learn it. Trainers no longer have all the various levels available. I think they all can teach the initial Vanilla levels, but from there you’ll have to find an NPC from the appropriate expansion to learn that expansion’s category. For Pandaria, that will be either Ben of the Booming Voice on the river near Halfhill or Nat Pagle in over where the fishing dailies are in Krasarang Wilds.

Catching and turning in the three daily fish for nat Pagle also gives anglers rep.

Anglers dailies might require friendly with them to start - I don’,t really recall though.

There is also an anglers quest hub in Dreadwastes. You need to do the quest to meet Li an the wall between the valley and Dreadwastes, use the rope to drop down, and follow the quest line through to the Kalaxxi quest hub. After doing 4/5 quests at the hub, the anglers hub there will open up but there is no specific breadcrumb to take you there.

At revered with Anglers, you can buy a tome from nat Pagle that gives +100% to anglers rep and is account bound to all characters.

The fishing chair Pagle sells is currently bugged - it has collision detection and has been used to block doorways. It has been replaced with a fish until the bug has been fixed.
