Well yeah, like i said, they’re liberal with numbers.
The live team would have nerfed by a smaller number.
Conversely the patch team can buff with big numbers as well.
Once it hits live, the live team won’t do any big changes.

All the other specs have like 50 to 100 replies, and ret here has over 700. Lol I think blizz just needs to let season 2 and 3 be active here.
Paladins have the most divisive and passionate player-base. Everyone here likes a specific iteration at a specific time and a specific playstyle and you couldn’t get two people here to play nice even if you wanted to. It’s not their fault, really. Blizzard has changed the class and specializations multiple times over many expansions.
It leads to a lot of in-fighting. A lot of loud mouths with bad opinions. In the end, Democracy will sort this out.
Can’t blame the devs for hating this playerbase tbh.
Think only 2 or 3 posters here actually care about what would be an optimal solution w/o screwing up large segments of the playerbase, the rest either:
Just laughable
thats perfectly valid, if people like the tier 2 set thats fine. just realize that numerically its horrible and blizzard might or might not “tune it” to be competitive. if you want to roll the “maybe blizzard will tune it” dice then thats you, but after whole expansions of that same mentality im just done with it
keep in mind that they said “theyll tune{” alot of things this expansion and it ended up not being tuned. forexample promising to make further adjustments to the ret rework if the community spots a issue. like how they promised to tune eranog ring so it wouldnt be so dominant but the mythic ring ended up being bis for alot of classes include ret for two seasons. finally keep in mind the amount of tuning some tiers would need is competely unrealistic and border on making an entirely new tier set. as i explained before to “tune” s2 tier they would have to be very selective with it to total up to a 200% overal increase of it. without making the crit damage portion oppressively powerful so it doesnt have any gimicks with augury which i remind you. makes your crits do 50% more crits as fire damage
Season 3s rotation feels so bad compare to season 2s aswell btw doesn’t flow at all
its the same rotation
this better be for pvp
are you tweaking? no its not, blade of justice has 0 prio with S2 tier, its filler
f it voting s1
S2 made HoW do good damage in AoE, and for that I think it was the best gameplay for M+ and cleave fights in raid. I liked prioritising HoW during wings in M+. I think it was a more meaningful change to your rotation than S3. But that’s just my opinion. There’s no wrong choice. Unless you chose S1. That’s just boring. And wrong.
S3 tier set is way better on literally all PVE content. S2 is actually dog in AoE.
Waht
/10 char
Lol what? 25% DS is more damage than HoW hitting 4 extra targets for 20% damage, it doesn’t even equal another whole HoW. TRASH damage in AOE and the only reason you hi t it is because you were forced to due to it providing Judgment debuff.
Tier 3 was nerfed more than advertized in pvp so it did 8% tool tip damage on players. S1 and S2 were better for pvp paladins because the pvp nerfs were less. S3 is only ok without the shadow nerfs they dont advertize.
Did you not read the Blizz post? They said they’d retune old tier sets to be equal in power to current tier sets. It remains to be seen how well they accomplish that goal, but the idea is to vote for your preferred flavour, not which set was numerically most powerful. If that was the question, the answer would be S3 in almost all cases (only exception I can think of off the top of my head is bear). That would be a really boring question. The actual question is: which tier set would you prefer if they were all equal in power? Which feels better, plays better, has a better class fantasy… literally any criterion you can think of is valid except the numbers.
I liked the playstyle of S2, and that’s the criterion that matters most to me. Saying I’m wrong because S3 is numerically stronger than S2 is foolish and irrelevant. Please people, don’t vote based on that, it’s missing the point of the poll entirely.
PVP is a meme in WoW nowadays. Nothing should be balanced around it. I say this as someone that used to PVP quite a bit, even recently. Go with S3.
You were just wrong, sorry? S3 simply can hit more targets than S2, and unless the damage is buffed to an insane number, it can’t be as good, especially in AOE. It’s also not a good idea in any universe to count on Blizzard buffing anything, it doesn’t matter what they say. It’s a proven track record of bad buffs and hard nerfs. We are bottom of the barrel in raid, and not competitive with things like DH, Rogue, or BM in M+, with a LEGENDARY.
Don’t vote believing you will get meaningful buffs, worst take possible. We need buffs NOW and we can’t even get them.
nothing is, they already said the tiers will be tuned to be equal, even if you dont pvp, you shouldnt be voting based on numbers due to that. S2 is the way for me on a mechanical level.
again, everyone here is assuming blizzard will balance when in the past they said simliar and didnt balance anything in a notable level.
also you have to be realistic, again they have to buff the s2 tier by 200% in a way that does make the crit dam modifier bonkers broken. im too jaded about tuning with ret in general to risk “it’ll be tuned later” when later never comes for ret.
the pvper rets also know this thasts why theres actual pvp pushback for s2
