100% true here. Season 3 is just better all around.
Season 2 is deh whey.
the only valid reason to vote season2 tier is for PVP
for pve, vote season 3. i dont care if season 2 looks “cooler” or that they will “buff it” consider this. do you really think they’ll buff season 2 set? considering they never buffed retpaladin itself?
the builds in other seasons still took Expurgation. It’s in literally in every build for ret in both pvp and pve in all 3 seasons of DF.
Giving pve and pvp players the same tier bonus means rets gonna suck in both pve and pvp for another season. Nice.
Yeah, 0% chance they buff S2 if that one wins, we’ll just be stuck with a set that does nothing for another tier. So hopefully people don’t sandbag!
lol no they didn’t, nice try tho
No it’s not lmao
I agree with you. Also seeing as you have to first post can you link all the set bonuses so people can read how wrong they are about season 1 and 3?
For those who want a quick summary of the set bonuses:
Season 3:
2-Set - Paladin Retribution 10.2 Class Set 2pc - Expurgation lasts an additional 3 sec and deals 30% increased damage. Casting Judgment or Divine Toll on a target with Expurgation causes Wrathful Sanction, damaging the target for a large amount Holy damage and resonating half of that amount to up to 4 nearby enemies.
4-Set - Paladin Retribution 10.2 Class Set 4pc - Wrathful Sanction grants you Echoes of Wrath, causing your next Final Verdict or Divine Storm to deal damage a second time at 25% effectiveness. This effect does not consume Greater Judgment.
Season 2:
(2) Set Bonus: Judgment and Hammer of Wrath deal 10 percent increased damage and 20 percent increased critical strike damage. Hammer of Wrath applies Judgment to enemies.
(4) Set Bonus: Judgment increases the damage enemies take from your Holy Power spenders by an additional five percent. Hammer of Wrath now hits four nearby enemies for 20 percent of its damage.
Season 1:
2-Set - Paladin Retribution Class Set 2pc - Judgment, Blade of Justice, and Wake of Ashes damage increased by 15%.
4-Set - Paladin Retribution Class Set 4pc - Final Verdict, Templar’s Verdict, and Divine Storm damage increased by 10%
vote season 3
S3T would be quite powerful if it wasn’t so severely underpowered in PvP.
The lack of natural Expurgation is a bit inconvenient (should be base or pushed into a/one of the PvP talents), but other than that, it’s far easier to lift the modifier on S3T for PVP, than buffing S2T by 500% then PVP nerfing it multiple times, potentially rendering it useless.
After all, wow devs are notorious for overzealously gutting this spec on command when it crosses a certain line.
Anyone not voting for S2 is rigging this. Don’t give us the same set for another season in a row.
they gut it the moment a single person whines about how it’s op in pvp. I’m sick of pvp being the determining factor in my spec’s throughput in pve, especially when we all know they can and have made changes that are pvp specific or vice versa
It’d be far more interesting if they gave us all 3, so that players could wear what they prefer and possibly find a neat combination of 2p to wear instead of 2/4pc. Sure, it’d boil down to whatever sims best for many, but it doesn’t hurt anything to let the other bonuses be accessible. Not to mention I’m sure it’d be great for dealing with some sets being good for PvE and others being good for PvP, which inherently splits the vote.
Im with this, and if you PVP you should be with this.
Season 3 is literally the best set damage wise, youre delusional
Season 2 was by far the most enjoyable. Season 3 removes judgment as an opener and having to apply and track separate expurg dots (and related talents) is part of why our single to multi target crossover is so bad. Plus going an entire year with the same set bonus is boring.
Also, you all can’t really be arguing of its dps merits when ret is the lowest ranked dps spec this patch…
Why the hell is season 3 leading???
Are you guys out of your minds? This tier is clunky and trash.
Season 3 by far is the superior set bonus. Other 2 dont even sim close
