I don’t like layer at all. I was looking forward to the one cohesive world where I would see familiar faces.

I hated how they changed it in retail and you just see random people randomly and then never see them again. Though sometimes I do run into some people I recognize from my server very rarely.

Layering is a problem because it destroys server communities and removes the feeling of being in a real world. This is the basic issue with it - I could go into detail and probably type pages on the subject.

Here’s the problem in a nutshell… you don’t really understand layering.

Plenty of people who know more about it than you have tried to clarify things for you but you’re refusing to listen, falling back on “I am the only one who really cares about Vanilla!” craptastic statements.

That’s the thing though, it’s obvious based on the context else they would have had an actual Classic Developer Lead come out and do it. They didn’t come out and say, “I was WRONG” because if you have the capability to read between the lines, it’s really quite ironic/funny and really we should leave it at that since in the end we are getting classic

It’s getting pretty complicated for my simple mind. Is it moaning when you want something or when you are fine with blizz decisions? And is Ion better dev for listening or not? I’m completely lost

Being right for the game means either making the game more fun to play, more satisfying, or in blizzard’s case, more money in their pocket. People hate layering because it goes against why they played original wow and makes the game less satisfying to play. Trying to argue that it’s somehow the right decision is just shilling for blizzard at this point.

Let’s say they remove layering…When you get that first 5k queue that requires a 2-3 hour wait just to log in to the game and start your character on launch day…you’ll be on the forums, whining and moaning and complaining about how Blizzard doesn’t know how to manage a launch. They are offering a way to manage the launch (because they don’t want to invest in more servers that they will just have to merge later). Layering might not be everyone’s favorite thing in the world (I wish it wasn’t there), but it’s a necessary evil in this case given their low budget and low Dev/GM team. In other words…Layering is gonna be in whether you like it or not. Play or don’t…vote with your wallet if it’s such a giant problem for you.

I meant, no-one is arguing it wasn’t in Vanilla, they’re just happy its a change because they dislike multi-boxers, of which this change only affects a minor number. Some even admit its more authentic to have it, but they don’t want it because someone unaffected by the change is a group they don’t like.

That’s moaning, not constructive.
