I think current WoW would look better with classic graphics. Specifically more than anything when it comes to character portraits. They look cartoony but in a good way and with better angles. It just looked way nicer before. Now they look either too stretched or cropped or elongated.

Try it out. Make an undead female on classic and look at the character portrait and compare it to an undead female character portrait on retail. Totally different face, angle and expression.
It was great when the option to use old models still existed because I prefer the classic animations to the newer ones, but I doubt they’ll give them back since they clearly want us to use the updated models.

And I disagree. I hate old graphics. Wish they’d actually put effort into updating old models, to be honest. Like the hyenas. The old ones look utterly terrible. Drake models compared to the newer ones do too.

Go into your system interface, video. Slide the bar to 3, TaDa! Classic graphics.
And if you have doubts, Classic comes with your sub, see for yourself.
People spend years and years studying, learning new techniques, spending a fortune with graphic design faculty, game design, workshops, post-graduation, develop improvements in games, then the person arrives and says that the graphic from 10 years ago was better than today.
Designers who have already died should be spinning in their grave atm lol

Now, have the graphics improved? From a technical point yes but not necessarily artistically. They updated it to go with the current times but newer isn’t always better.
I guess I am fine with the new character models but what makes it look so weird is the character portrait. It’s just awkward.
I wish they had just left the toggle in. Sometimes the older graphics are great for getting a taste of nostalgia. But Liked that I could switch back to the newer graphics when I got that taste over with.
