[Retail] Quick Start for Veterans

The end of WoW Remix got me thinking about something I really enjoyed: the possibility of starting the game with any race and class already at level 10.

It’s frustrating to have to spend 2-3 hours completing the intro zones of Death Knights, Evokers, or Demon Hunters. I’m not saying these intro zones are bad, but after so many years, it gets tiring to redo them every time you want to create a character of those classes with “classic” races. Ever since I started playing WoW during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, I’ve always felt that classes only became truly fun from level 10 onward, when you can choose your specialization.

Sometimes, I think we could have an option for veteran players to start leveling from level 10 with the “Classic” races, similar to the allied races system.

I know the new player starting zone offers faster leveling than any other starting zone, but sometimes you just want to skip the intro and jump into the game from the point where classes actually become more interesting, which is from level 10.

Becoming exalted with a certain race could unlock this option for players when creating a character.

I could see this being of value, although I’m unsure how much work would be required on the back end.

I’ve created all of those classes and gone through the intro zones before. They were cool, but I don’t feel like I would be missing out by not having to do it every time. I would even be ok with it if you could skip it on a class just by having completed that intro zone before.
