Retail is dead

Sitting in a 45 min queue in the 80s bracket as I type this… dead game.

Edit: Make that 1 HOUR.

“Avg queue time: 7 mins” lol

it is indeed mostly dead, chances are people will not quit classic until a new raid is announced or something

By far the worst pvp has been also not surprised with how long low lvl q times are funny people said they aren’t bad most of them are gone too

I quit PVP this expansion, which has cost Blizzard quite a bit of my money. I was reading a thread on the Arena forum about the best way to gear up, and he was flooded with answers about M+, Islands, Benthic, Emissaries, blah blah blah.

No thanks. I want to earn gear for the content I enjoy by playing the content I enjoy. If I get bored, I will switch to another class. As is, if you don’t play the game the way you’re told, you are at a significant disadvantage against dungeon speed runners.

Given how much money they make (made?) from PVP players, it seems very asinine to treat them so poorly this expansion. Just give us back PVP stats and vendors, we’ll take care of the rest.

Low level Bgs will have longer queue times.

You can do Bgs fine without having to do mythic anything.

Last time I leveled a character mostly through BGs I felt the 70s bracket is where it stopped being as much fun. At the time I ran into a couple of confirmed bots (one rotation, one kick).

The real question is why are you leveling in retail and not classic? :joy:

Probably because some people still like retail. I know, crazy concept.

I was joking. Mostly… :joy: The leveling is just so much better on classic (end game will be meh I think, it’s why I’m not rushing). Pulling 3 mobs and aoe grinding them down while never dropping below 70% health isn’t overly exciting to me…

If you hate leveling ( like me ) then that is awesome

Classic is all about the leveling, the journey. Retail is all about the end game. Can you imagine leveling 120 levels Classic style? Ofc as expansions went on, they made it more about end game.

Given the back-and-forth of “Leveling is too slow!” “Leveling is too fast/doesn’t mean anything!” the howling would reach the moon.

In all seriousness, though, the number of levels is why leveling has to be faster than in Classic.

Imaging queueing at level 80… Just buy a boost bro. You’ll spend less time doing a few hours OT at work than you will grinding levels.

And thinking retail is dead because of it.

Buy a boost so I can rush to a turtle made it to the water dailies and weekly mythic disappointment? No thanks. I’ll take my time and enjoy the low levels, since that’s more fun than endgame ATM.

If your intent is randoms, you get less queue times at 120.

The 80-89 bracket is slow on both sides, fwiw. I can usually get a couple of matches in on another toon (or toons) before my 87 Druid queue pops. It gets better from 90 up, I’ve found. It was like this before classic dropped, as well. It’s not the best bracket for random BGs or dungeon groups. :woman_shrugging:

Walmart may be affordable, but if people who also watch NFL get a 10 percent discount from Walmart, that screws people like me who don’t enjoy football.

It’s not about how effective I can be without running Mythics, it’s about there being an advantage in Content A by running Content B. That’s crappy design.
