Sounds toxic tbh.
There’s a good reason many outside the FFXIV group-think find the overall FFXIV community to be very cult-like.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen people called ff14 community cultish. I like the game, I like wow. I just find casual people on both sides toxic.
Oh look another I didn’t do my job and was held accountable for it thread
How about instead of blaming everyone else for your deficiencies you prepare yourself for the dungeon you want to run.
Some of the answers to this thread are proving your point, OP.
Yeah, I’ve never had a bad pug encounter in FFXIV and to be fair, since playing from back in '04, I’ve only had a handful of bad pugs in WoW. Comparing the two communities though, WoW is much more impatient and more likely to be rude…over a video game; something that doesn’t matter in life at all.
I love the pretending we’re doing as if people in Classic don’t have meltdowns if you pull extra stuff you shouldn’t
Mythics are timed. If you’re not pulling correctly, you’re wasting your time and others. They don’t need to be ducks but it seems everyone is heavy sweaty in casual wow.
It’s a game, but ppl do build these characters and spend countless hours doing so. A car is nothing in the bigger scheme of things but you better believe is be pissed if someone wrecked my car… But it’s just a car! Meh
Just curious: did you ask if there were any optimal routes or hints for the best way through? As little as I do tanking, if I were doing a Mythic I’d certdainly ask that, for my own comfort if nothing else.
Yeah sure, there are some bad apples in every barrel (and I refuse to believe that 100% of players in Final Fantasy are perfect people) you, OP, also need to bear some responsibility. At the start explain, you haven’t done Mythic for a while, for a smooth run please give any tips of the best way to go. If they refuse or abuse you, then just leave and try again for a better experience.
Or find a group to do M+ with and not bother with the pugging life.
Poor analogy. You can’t compare a car to a video game character. You don’t even own your toon. All I am saying is there is no point to being nasty in a video game. The only reason why people have a poor attitude is because there are no consequences to their actions. Try being a douche IRL and someone might smack you square in the mouth.
Retail and Community are oxymorons
Glad you blanket blame the entire retail community for 2 players you met randomly in a mythic 0. Here’s one for you, in Wotlk, we had a tank get ninja looted by a rogue. How about the “your gearscore is too low to join our group?” Oh, here’s one, “I love when sprouts get 1 shot by obvious mechanics.” Because ya know, being a sprout is a pretty clear indication of something.
Look, I get it, you had a bad dungeon, maybe multiple, but let’s not act like it’s specific to any particular game or game mode. I play retail AND classic and I try to be nice in both, odds are those guys you ran into are jerks in Classic just as much as they are in Retail.
another useless post in these forums
It’s not just the PvE people, it’s the PvP community, and worse, the PvP forums here have mods that support the toxic people. The posters are super toxic creeps that try to find anything to attack you with and when you respond your posts are deleted, not theirs, then you get suspended for trolling just because you replied to people attacking you.
Forums need new moderators and the toxic players should be perma banned. There’s no excuse for this. The actual mods are in on the toxic trolling.
WoW is a job to you? Games are supposed to be fun, not exercises in bad behavior.
You have a long way to go, kid
Yep that’s normal, don’t pull anything “unnecessary”
I don’t think killing 100% of mobs in a dungeon is intended
Stress and frustration of the way the game is designed, people get angry
I don’t wonder that because there’s no way to prove it so I don’t know it’s true.
After It took me like 8 minutes and 50 rotations on a max level red mage to kill a single trash mob I logged out and never looked back.
There is a reason why most of the towns in Final Fantasy are filled with cat people, ppl dressed like cats, female toons dancing while an actual group of 8 to 10 other people play in game instruments to make music for a crowd of 10 to 20 to sit at tables and stand around using the cheer emote. It is their real life.
Anyways… as far as keeping on topic. People suck. But at least you didnt get kicked. Though sometimes thats doing you a favor. People min-max, meta, meter watch, and look for the fastest clear routes. Sometimes it is because thats “fun” to them. Other times
… ya know what, i dont know wtf i am talking about but yall have a good day n thanks for reading. Cya in the Dragon Isles.
Don’t you know. Even for LFD or LFR your expected to know everything by reading and memorizing all in-game guides, guides on Wowhead, have all the add-ons installed, configured and watch a d memorize any and all YouTube videos for boss fights, trash packs, routes, pulls, rotation, etc.
The community doesn’t care if you have just played WoW for one day or since Vanilla, all this is expected before you even create your first character.
Anyway welcome back to World of Warcraft
