ok srs Wtf gais i logged onto ptr earlier cuz i herd paldins had ”about” onehundrod parcent uptime on wings i had to see for myself i ran sim many times and only had 98.546289% uptime on wings am i doing sumthing rong

Have you tried using the auto pilot setting on the wheelchair?

It’s actually only about 50% uptime, and they have to be running Visions of Perfection as their Major Essence.

And thats when you sit on a target without any movement involved, from what we know this essence will be nerfed to the ground within weeks of release patch anyway

They should make wings spellstealable again. Since wings uptime is so high it only makes sense.

Ret paladins are actually disgusting. You do nothing when you don’t have wings or mini wings but make sure you don’t die then you do unhealable damage during burst and if your teammate can contribute merely 3k in damage you land a kill.

But my mobility!!!

Swear this only applies to wheelchair thinkers that believe they should have 100% uptime and don’t realize blowing freedom steed for no reason/when you legit do not have even just one extra purgeable buff is bad.

Legit just need one stack of selfless healer then you run in and do unhealable damage.

And shield of vengeance is a damn joke. 15 seconds I have to just do nothing so I don’t get popped for 60k

Ele sham has probably even more burst than ret now, 100k+ shocks on every stream. When you see the ret glow cc him or trade a cd and you should be fine, I think the spec gets all this hate bc of that infinity stone guy. Poor spec rofl.

Ret has become the equivalent of that Ultraxion button in Dragon Soul. People who can’t react to just one mechanic per encounter can’t press the button and die, sadly Activision only listens to these people so I guess the spec will get the bm treatment.

RIP my last post.

SoV isn’t actually that great. If you stand like 10 yards away, you can avoid all of its damage. Secondly, its damage is split between every target hit. So those 14 Unholy pets? Boom, DK takes like 4k damage.

If you wanna take away SoV and give me Sacred Shield back, I’m all for it.

Or just buff kings because it’s already sacred shield essentially. :man_shrugging:

SoV is nice and all but it’s not as great as people make it out to be. Using it defensively the damage is a moot point, using it to counter burst is a lot more effective.

SoV kills are probably the most satisfying kills I ever get as Ret, but it honestly happens so infrequently I never rely on it actually hitting a target offensively.

It is pretty easily countered by any caster spec with a slow, rogue cloak, DK AMS, etc.

Not saying it’s amazing, just saying it’s extremely dumb that it lasts 15 seconds.

It’s un-bopable karma that lasts longer

the ret mobility thing is the biggest meme rn. Nothing can kite them for more than a few seconds besides frost mage…and even then if you manage your slow/blade slow/freedom/horse correctly you shouldnt have any real problems

I’m really trying to understand your hostility. You think purging everything a ret can do while keeping frost shock up 100% of the time (let’s not even talk about ghost wolf or the talent to be less hindered by movement impairing effects) is anymore or less skillful then what a ret does? You think building 100 maelstrom and using lasso into a CD 100k shock is less stupid then a ret with wings?

Basically you’re mad ret isn’t going to be a free kill.

Can literally kite a ret’s entire 25-30 second wings on my DK, not even remotely difficulty to do. Spam slow when needed, stun the freedom, use movement speed after the stun wears off. Easy.
