We are not, we need a defensives buff because we are backo to dying thru “defensives” which dp isnt even a defensive it is absolute trash and sov needs its damage unnerfed. Also being ret in a pure ranged lobby is an instant loss

Sometimes I wonder…… I do just fine…. Every bg too kills, too dmg…. Every bg is a graveyard camp fest. I don’t die, I 1v2 easily and last long as hell vs 3. Sometimes I wonder about you ppl…
Ret isnt bad, its definitely not the top melee right now. The current meta is just anti ret. Whenever casters are top dogs, rets suffer. Overall this feels better then any caster meta ive been through. Im enjoying humping the pillar and throwing out instant cast damage on these casters.
THings that need to be addressed is most of you are talkign from the casual bg players perspective, so yes youll have a way easier time getting kills and not dying in bgs and low rated PvP, come fromt he perspective from a high rated PvP player untill then just dont have a opinion you are clouding air with terrible takes
Waiting for tier set to have an actual opinion about ret. Last week had a ton of matches where casters lived with a sliver of health that set bonus would have finished the fight. So im opting to wait till 4 set to see how it really is. My gut instinct is that ret is very middle of the pack. Its a caster season so of course ret isnt going to feel S plus tier but i feel like now with how much of ret’s kit is ranged it plays a lot better into ranged than it did previously.
Again waiting until tier to make an actual judgement.

Every single caster in the game outranges ret. Again, you can throw a 20yd fv and next what? You have your hp generation cut in half at least probably even more by not being able to melee things with templar strikes. So no, in the offchance the enemy is a 1hp well yea you finished them off but you will not kill someone entirely from max range because they can and will outrange you.
I guess you just pop wings and throw HoW and a couple fvs and call that a win? Every caster will run and los, now you are sitting in the middle of the arena with your bof dispelled having to burn dp sov and even ds to survive. Ret is a melee spec and it performs at its best when it has uptime. You are psyoped by the 20yds
This I will agree 100%. Not complaining, but when I see a frost mage in solo queue I just give up. I can’t…. God forbid is me vs frost mage boomy…. Is over

Rated games, arenas is not the only form of pvp in wow.
Ppl that play bgs have the right to talk about pvp just the same. Is it the same experience or skill? I’m sure it isn’t but…. Imagine how entitle you gotta be to think you’re the only one that can talk about pvp because you do arena when you have duels, wpvp, random bg, skirmish, rated bg….

personally, i have no issues with rets. we could use a small buff to our immediate defensive cds, but i’ll take what i can get
Ret is so terrible for pvp right now I’m so over it at this point. Literally countered by every PvP class right now
Entitled? Never claimed im the only one with a valid opinion, but when we are talking about the balancing of a class or how they perform, we are supposed to look at it more toward the high play level, nit at its most basic form. It would be like a rogue saying. I do well survivng in bgs because i stay in stealth the whole time. No shiet.
So when i see people say something that is overall just completely wrong ill call it out. Because those type of posts or comments muddy the waters of how things actually are.
Brother, if I based off my experience in BG’s as Ret, I’d go so far as to say we’re OP as hell and that we’re fine but that’s not the reality in the greater scheme of things. We’re getting blown up by casters in arena that don’t have their head up butts and don’t play like bad bots.
I hear you but for once I’m not going to complaint. It has been melee meta for the last what? 56 arena seasons? They deserve a break.
