Look at the bright side… no S tier!
For Ret AOE seems fine to me, above average for sure, ST is trash ofc. Overall throughout the dungeons in almost all cases i was a few hundred k above the rest in m0.

Doesnt seem like trash just niddle of the pact which paladin has historically been alot. But compared to df legendary and rework pushing paladins to the top for a while. So i get this feels bad

The season literally just started, we barely have any data, we barely started to get decent gear, we barely started to scale with our Secondary Stats (trust and believe, we’re going to scale very, very well), we’re barely out of the gate, but Tettles puts us in C-Tier?
I mean, from the constant bugs ret had to deal with (and STILL has to deal with), to the Sims not working correctly, to the data only from regular and Heroic dungeons, etc…where in the hell is he getting his so-called data from to make this call???
See…THIS is why whenever I see Tier lists on Youtube, one has to take them with a grain of salt. Even from players who are supposedly well known and respected, tier lists can (and ARE) be highly suspect.
Other than later tuning, I cannot wait for the near future to see the logs as we start to out-scale other specs, because excellent scaling is one of the best things that can happen to a spec.
I myself refuse to doom and gloom just yet…

Soo many people dooming over ST.
Whilst we’re 5th on Sikran as a ST boss with Arcane and BM being 1st and 2nd as clear outliers.
I get instrument is inflating, but it’s not enough to put us at the tail end…
I don’t know, people seem to be having impaired judgement ATM (pun intended).
If we were to believe what’s being said, you’d think we’d be where Demo,Destro and shadow priest are on it ATM.
And we’re STILL bugged on many aspect.
Instrument triggers AW: Might even when you got Crusade selected with RG and other Hero spec shenanigans…

Yeah, I saw what you did there. 
I mean, it’s honestly amazing how people believe others’ tier lists, even from so-called respected players. The very little data that’s out now shows us doing DAMN WELL, as you’ve pointed out. And like you said, M+ hasn’t even started yet. 
I mean, I know I’m older here than most, but people honestly need to have some patience until we start to get more data. This really isn’t hard to understand.
Yeah, I mean, there are supposedly classes out there like Fire Mage that are just doing horrendous, abysmal damage.

This notion of “excelent scaling” where did you get it? A couple modifiers that work with crit and mastery redesigned and thats it?

Many of our new updated abilities work very well with our Secondary Stats and Talents.
For 1 example, let’s take Templar Strikes: It interacts very well with 8, count 'em, 8 Talents in the ret tree. And interacts very well with Crit (Heart of the Crusader), Haste (the DoT from Templar Slash) and definitely Mastery (Radiant/Holystrike). This one spell will only get more and more powerful with the scaling of those stats.
And it already hits like a mack truck with rockets strapped on.
Despite the great re-work we received in DF, the main problem we had was that we scaled like $#!+ with Versatility. This became more and more obvious when compared to other classes as we got more gear at the time. Thus the many tunings we previously received.
Now that Versatility is off the table (other than PvP of course), the other three stats, especially Mastery despite the nerf, will make us shine. The latest logs already show we’re doing well, despite the doom and gloom.
Again, depending on tuning, I have no doubt of this.
Trust data (I learned that here on this forum), NOT youtube people with their so-called tier lists.

Sims and their heroic M+ testing on beta.
In fairness to Tettles if the bugs hadn’t been fixed and the aura buff mastery change Herald Ret would be about 7% lower than where it is. Ret would have been mid/low middle of the pack. Still not doom, C tier though.
Also worth pointing out, all but 2 other classes would have had a DPS spec doing more damage than Herald Ret.
Templar was totally fine though.
And this is why I can’t get invites into pugs, yet I’m pulling 1.1m overall in m0’s.

I am able to pump 800k+ Dps… I am unsure what you mean C tier?
Ok, so ? I see Arcane mages, fury warriors and enhanced shamans easily pumping 1.2.
Do you understand C tier now ?
Do you understand Mages and Warriors also got nerfed?

I too can pump 1mill dps… I get what you’re saying, but what are you wanting blizzard to do? I don’t agree with ANY of the nerfs if that’s what you’re asking…
