Personal preference? Holy is just mashing flash of light, cleanse and pally power. Ret is judging, applying seals and autoattacking.
I like all the pally specs. But let’s not pretend that holy is anymore interactive than ret.

Seriously. I played vanilla as ret. Very little was more toxic than the jackwads and morons who would screech “lul healbutton=healzor” types. It was bad for the game, and bad for everybody who played a hybrid even if they DID like to heal. Because their gear was designed poorly, their talents were crap, and people would still complain about them being overpowered. One of the BEST things they ever did was make hybrids viable for raid and redesign them so they could be effective at whatever role they specced into, and mediocre at the other sides of the class. Why? Because you were good at what you wanted to do, but not quite as good as those that did just 1 thing.
I can’t believe that now, with the kind of data we have, people are STILL in this stupid mindset.

You could always go 31/0/20 and have two sets of gear. That will at least allow you the play style of both specs without having to constantly respec.
I usually still have mana left at the end of a boss fight. Again, maybe not knowing how to gear and being a massive douche is the reason you had a bad experience at it.

your better off finding another guild or just spam buffs as ret and tell them you can can be their buff slave, honestly I don’t like changing spec for everyone needs cause they couldn’t find tank/healer or highest dps spec

Never disputed that! But even during my time on private servers I’ve pulled 1700 on Thaddius. And from what we’ve literally witnessed with Ahlaundoh parsing over 2600 DPS on Lucifron (people didn’t attain this on private servers), I’d bet I could do more. Given that’s with good charges and a power infusion ;).
People can hate on Ret all they want. Love Paladin. Don’t mind healing to get to R14 so I can run around and make kids look stupid. But I’ll concede I’ll never hit Ahlaundoh’s numbers on Lucifron. Doubt anyone else will either.
