Props to you for being an exception, but I doubt most players are that honorable 
Numbers showing that near 8000 ret games have been played which is more or less almost every other dps spec combined is proof enough that the majority of players readily hop on the fotm train, reroll, and/or thoroughly enjoy their spec being broken/overpowered.
They might not even necessarily enjoy the playstyle, or feel slightly dirty (e.g., knowing they should be nerfed asap, but hey, that’s Blizzard’s job), but most enjoy winning, and winning typically coincides with having fun, so yeah, someone quitting because they don’t enjoy the playstyle of a dominating meta spec is probably a handful of players out of the entire playerbase.
the redeeming factor is that 90% of rets are bad and still die/let their team die for free, because they assume they should win, and don’t press buttons

This is the only class I’ve seen win on keybinds and not globals. It’s weird.
I’ve known plenty. My friend also quit playing feral/boomkin at the same time, and we both just went to play ESO.
Some people like for a sporting chance, not just overpower someone because of bad design.
Hell even before I left I was asking for nerfs to the things that were causing my spec to be over the top like it was.
I’m leaving now because I hate how my spec feels now and I probably won’t be back until 11.0 barring they make huge changes for ww before then.
But the time I stay is shorter and shorter, this time didn’t even hold me for 6 months, next time I won’t even give them 2 months.
if you have to win to have fun, you aren’t having fun no matter how much mental gymnastics you have to do to convince yourself that you are
more than a handful as this game doesn’t have the playerbase, or participation even, it once had.

This has to be a bait. But its so realistic I’m questioning reality itself. I think we need to add a tier to tier lists that enables peoples brains to comprehend the difference between OP, and BROKEN. Rets fall under BROKEN. It IS S+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Tier, call it Z tier if you will. Its quit literally the first class to ever make me stop playing the game (I’m not quitting, just gonna wait for nerfs and play other stuff as i always do) But all you have to do is watch venrukis video on rets to understand that it is quit literally destroying the entire pvp scene. More than half the classes cant play, and more than half the usual comps are in the dirt. This has nothing to do with *People just hate when X class is on top" which in and of itself is a true statement, but in this case totally validated by the fact that it isn’t just an S tier good class, its oppresively removing every other class from the game.
For example: I genuinely think there has been no other class this xpac atleast that has come close to being as broken. Including prepatch DH, prenerfs ASSASS, prenerf WW 1 shot… so on. Those classes could still have a viable shot at being beatin however low. certain comps could hard counter them. So on and so on. This is not so much the case for ret outside of maybe 1 specific matchup. Ret enables so much survivability that it deletes most healers aswell. Disc will oom too fast, so will rdruid, so on so on. Its literally in a league of its own. It needs MASSIVE nerfs unfortunately. Enjoy the few weeks of glory.
