Haven’t given it much of a go since BFA. Felt slow and clunky then… is it any fun now?
For me, Ret is boring af on paper with its static rotation, but the fun for me is using my toolkit to save a team member froma bad situation and throwing them off heals in between my autonomous rotation.
Bgs are notoriously fun with ret as well as the toolkit gives you an answer for every situation.
I’m having a blast.
Untill I face someone with 60k health lol
If I were you I would stick with your warrior. Don’t get me wrong I love being a Paladin, but once your bubble is gone your made of paper and everyone else is scissors.
If you like to save your teammates from time to time, then it’s fun. Combat alone I would say warrior is more fun.
Fun is relative.
I enjoy Ret. It’s simple and its kit is flexible enough to clutch a few bad pulls.
That said, warrior is more fun in general. You’re more mobile, do more damage, have more group-wide utility to your kit, and have better defensives.
The only real “fun” for ret is being able to solo group mobs by healing mid combat. The issue is it means you’re not killing it in less than 5 minutes.
Don’t bother mate. If you didn’t like it then, you won’t be rewarded for main8ng one now.
The problem, though, is the fact I really like Prot Paladin. Way more than prot warrior… and I enjoy tanking.
Prot paladin is fairly fun, and if you’re finding the most fun playing prot paladin then going Ret isn’t much of an issue. Just warning you ahead of time that if you’re looking at DPS speccs, warrior is better than ret.
Retribution Paladins are the Greatest of All Living Things. So, by definition, they are also, The Most Fun.
