Has anyone tried running with this over BL?
Feels like it might have sleeper potential for 3s. Perhaps if running with a caster dps so they can bait most of the kicks? Also with concentration aura for more contingency.
It being a casted, single target CC that breaks on damage makes it pretty underwhelming. People didn’t much run it in SL either, least of all because it shared a talent.

Yeah but now we can run it with fist of justice and it removes dots.
Ferals and ench seem to be fine hard casting cyclone and hex. Just a thought
Needs to be instant cast like back in the day.

Repent isn’t that great, tho you could use it in SS below probably 1800 cause a lot of people won’t kick, lol.
Hex is decent for shamans cause they have grounding to stop some kicks, along with root totems to give some space to actually cast it. Plus haste is usually Enhance’s BiS stat so the cast time is reduced. But even then, landing 1-2 hexs in a game is probably considered good.
For Ferals, cyclone is good because they have a lot of control with Rake, Maim, and Bash, all which are undispelable stuns. So you can stun a dps then cast a cyclone without fear of the healer dispeling it and you getting kicked.
Ret just don’t have these things. =/

This gave me flashbacks to a shadowlands arena where i think it was vanguards, he casted speedy conduit turn evil on demonic tyrant and got kicked on it, died in that lockout

Repentence is just pretty bad in general, shorter range, longer cd, and I believe longer cast time than similar disorient soft CC.
BL suffers from a longer cd, but being instant, AoE, not breaking on Holy damage, and having the same full duration in PvP as Repentence it’s just vastly better.
I’m not sure what common comps are playing well these days with Ret but I can’t imagine them not providing a better consistent disorient CC as it’s one of the most common CC types.
That way the Ret doesn’t have to risk a Holy lock.

Ive tried it with all haste gear and its nice. I dont find BL or anything like that fun.
