We have identified and resurrected characters who died due to circumstances caused by distributed denial-of-service attacks on the Doomhowl realm on April 24, and on the Doomhowl and Defias Pillager realms on May 3. We are done with these restorations, and affected players should be able to select the ghost character on the Doomhowl and Defias Pillager realms and log into it to complete the process.
Please be reminded:
If we decide to restore characters lost to a DDoS attack, we will only restore characters that remain on their Hardcore realm. A character cannot be restored if the character was transferred to another realm.
Blizzard Customer Support cannot assist with issues related to characters who have died on Hardcore realms.
Please do not contact Blizzard Customer Support with any inquiries regarding character deaths on Hardcore realms.
Seriously? I logged into my dead rogue Squeaks who died in BRD to the DDOS and she’s still dead.
What gives?
There were three others that died with me - Pondy, Graeson and Construction. Are they still dead too?
Hello, I have also not been rezzed, but it might because of how I died. The DDoS happened to me mid fight with my group in the hinterlands elite quest cave. We all got kicked off at the same time. I was able to log back in after a few minutes of restarting the client etc.
When I logged back in, I had about 10% health left and died pretty much immediately. Before the DDoS, I had 100% HP as I was the healer, staying back outside the fight. Is Blizzard considering that someone can log in quickly after the DDoS, and they are thinking that was not worth a rez?
I didn’t appear on deathlog until I logged in a little while later. I had to close the client to get out of the game, it was hanging that badly. My guildies noticed I died along with the others, though, so I have no idea what happens on Blizzard’s end.
Please get this right, Blizzard.

Watched your entire squad wipe in BRD, same time as my guildie’s UBRS wiped to the DC. It’s absolutely insane that they missed these. Why rez people if you can’t even do it right
