Honestly I would love to see if someone has the old thottbott arhives if they would bring it back to life. It’s gonna be needed / wanted again come vanilla.

I miss the more simple less cluttered thottbot over the bells and whistles overly busy and loud new stuff. I just want the information, not an assault on the eyes.

I’d love to have thottbot back, though wit hit being owned by the same people who run WoWhead I can’t imagine we’ll be getting anything more than WoWhead classic out of them.
Personally I’m going with https://classicdb.ch/ unless somebody makes a thottbot clone. That site is like an early day WoWhead before it became overly bloated.

With wowhead people owning it we need to all chose a classic website if we don’t want wowhead.
If someone could build something like thottbot it would be nice.

Just go to archive. org, it catalogs old websites. I just looked up thottbot, and it’s there. You can see versions of the site throughout time, November/December of 2004 would be just after launch.
Not to sound shilly for them, and I actually don’t love their ads and stuff, but the Wowhead people have been populating their Classic site with Thottbot comments going back to 2004:

That site is literally 1/3 ad space.
I know. It is. Sadly. But they have the rights to all that stuff.
Be that as it may I have one sole way to combat that ad space bloat: not utilize the site.
